"Great Headlamp" 05/15/12
My second BD headlamp, ( the first got dropped while climbing and isnt too reliable any more), this headlamp is solid. Plenty bright and batteries last awhile if your smart. Havent tried Its waterproofness yet, so we will see how that turns out. Plus the green and white make you the most fashionable out there.

This is a solid lamp that works when you need it. I have bought a second one so that I have one in my work pack and one for my personal pack. I have had this light in absolute down pours and it has never flickered once when other lights in the group started to fail. If I could make an improvement it would be to have the light rotate up and down. So far that hasn't stopped me from using it and choosing it over other lights.

On my way to lead a sea kayaking trip in Maine this summer and realized that my Princeton Byte died. Planned to grab another on our way. Then I saw this bad boy. I was beyond impressed with the brightness! We're talking Air Traffic Control bright. The functions are easy to use and having a red light option is so nice, especially when cranky tent-mates are trying to sleep and you've GOT to finish the last chapter in Harry Potter. Super durable, and water resistant! Used it for the summer and haven't changed the batteries.Not to mention the green and white pattern, that way no one will be tempted to swipe it and claim it as theirs (we both know they're not cool enough to rock it).

I went looking at headlamps with a friend and after comparing the other ones with this one, it was clear this was the best choice in the price range. Initially, Black Diamond headlamps were not in the running because I was not impressed with the construction of their other head lamps. After looking at many others and not finding what we were after, we looked closer at this one and found that it actually has an o-ring around the battery pack (which many other don't have), it was brighter than the others in this price range, it seems very well built, and the variable dimming feature is awesome. Now we will just have to see if it holds up...

The Storm will meet all of your headlamp needs and expectations. Super bright and durable and waterproof. The red light setting is surprisingly useful when you're not trying to blind everyone around you. The Storm also makes a great bike light! Don't hesitate to buy it. Headlamps are always handy.
"Take this anywhere light is needed" 08/03/11
Caves, Night time hikes, night time bear attacks, submarines with no power, and you better believe Gepetto wished he had one while in that whale. This thing can give off solid consistent light with a strong focused beam. It works great as a utility tool, getting from your tent to the bathroom spot at night, or heading into low light caves. There are several setting which allow for strobe and dim light. Both are key when lost or not blinding your fellow hikers when you turn to say "did you hear that?"

I use this primarily for roadbiking.... fing fantastic!!! Super powerful LEDs and different settings that are easy to remember. The best headlamp I have ever had! Also you can go underwater; I mean I don't plan on this but it may come in handy at some point....

My mind is blown. I'm a roadbiker/commuter. Fing fantastic. This headlamp works! Many different settings for different envioronments. Two thumbs up I would definately recommend this for anyone that needs to see in the dark.

This headlamp is VERY light and durable and with its fully enclosed body its also waterproof! The feature that i like about it is that when you hold down the on button for 6 seconds it locks the lamp preventing it from turning on when tucked away in a pack. This light is also crazy bright and thank god it has a dimmer button on it cause it needs it! All- in-all this headlamp is by far the best ive found for under 50$ with all the great features this has theres no way youll be disappointed at all!!!

This headlamp is VERY durable and lightweight, i use it all the time and am amazed at the brightness of this lamp... Another key feature is that you can adjust the level of brightness simply by holding in the on button which also acts as a dimmer switch, or if your storing it away for the day in a pack you can hold the on button in for 6 seconds and it locks the lamp so you dont have to worry about it turning on in your pack and draining your batteries for when you need it at night..... all in all this is the best all around headlamp that i found for a reasonable price, you will not be disappointed with this purchase!!!!
