"Great stopper set that will outlast you, and whoever you pass them onto" 04/01/13
Nice full stopper set to start any aspiring trad climber on his way to radness. There are one or two other options that are identical to the BD nuts but slightly cheaper. Not sure if the unity of BD color coding scheme is worth it, but you do get the free oval wire with these.

These stoppers do the job perfectly. There might be other stoppers that are cheaper but these are the smoothest and easiest to place stoppers that I have found. I love the curved side and tapered body that allows for greater range for each size. I wouldn't get any other stopper set (except for offsets)

These BD nuts have such a big reputation for being industry standard that I had to go with them, good choice. Great metal makeup, not too hard, not too soft. Tapered sides give you a ton of placement options. Cool colors make you climb faster and are great for color coding.

These are the best chocks out there. The color coding makes them easy to identify and the tapered edges let you slot them in a wide variety of cracks. Right now they are being used mostly for gear anchors on top rope but will hopefully be used for leading in the near future.

Can't beat these stoppers when it comes to passive pro. It can be tempting to fall on these because you know that they will hold. Sometimes I fall purposely (at least that is what I tell my belayer) just because I know I'll be safe. I rack these on 2 biners, half small and half large.

These place well, and it's always easy to pick the right size with the colour coding. I've been climbing on my partner's set for a while and these were the first pieces that I bought when I started building out my own rack.
