More a 3-4 Season Tent than a Full Blown Mountaineering Bomb ShelterSpacious tent; I'm 6'6", 250# and shared it with two other guys one night. Normally, I have to consider all 3 person tents as 2 person tents. This is not a lightweight backpacking tent, but it is not supposed to be. Heavy pole strucuture provides great rigidity in wind. But, I'm skpetical as to its ability to weather a nasty high mountain storm. Poles are very strong, but the materials are very light in the body and fly. ,,,,Practice pitching this at home before heading out with it as it is not very intuitive. I'd like to see more guy out points on the fly. Front vestibule provides adequate room to store boots (keep boot liners in tent!) and cook. ,,,,All in all a very good product from BD.

3 Year later and I'm writing reviews...This is a great tent, period! If you are a serious four season adventurer then I highly recommend this tent. It accommodates me, a friend and a 120 dog without us bring cramped! The space to weight ratio unmatched and when camping with a group, if it rains everyone comes to my tent for cards, to eat, etc. because of the 48 inch internal height! My hasn't had any issues but the front flap can be hard to close at times. I've set-up in high winds, rain, snow and without any issues. Again, the weight at 7.8lbs is hard to beat considering what you are getting. Now if you are an ultra-light person this isn't the tent for you but then again a 300 thread count sheet is still to heavy for you. Anyway, I have cooked in the vestibule without issues, as it's designed for it and stayed in the tent during many high hail storms without problems. Is it the best winter tent, maybe not but one of the best four season tent that I've owned.
