"Solid product with multiple features." 05/03/12
I got this product for camping, hiking and some Army stuff I have. So far it as performed beyond what I expected. Its comfortable and has every feature I need including red lense and strobe. Not to mention its plenty bright for the late nigh trails. The only problem I can see is that its hard to cycle through the features, especially with gloves on. Other than that its a great headlamp.
"Impossible to find the button with gloves" 04/30/12
I do a lot of winter camping, mountaineering and alpine climbing. It's impossible to find the button on this headlamp with gloves on, and I'm always fiddling with it and getting frustrated. I thought I'd get used to it after awhile, but after a year of using it with no improvement, I gave up and returned it.The length of battery life was pretty good, but after putting in new batteries, the light would dim after just a few hours use (and then stay relatively steady, at a lower lumens level, until the battery was about to run out).
"Great headlamp for hiking, back packing, camping." 04/15/12
I purchased this headlamp when I wanted something smaller and lighter than my Black Diamond Icon. It works great, has nice lighting options, including a red LED. Has a locking function so it doesn't accidentally get turned on in your bag and drain the batteries. It was just what I was looking for. A not to expensive, kinda small lightweight light that could still put out some lumens.
"Good light" 03/13/12
Wife and I have been using these for a few months now and have been happy with them. The "one button does all" function took all of 5 minutes to get used to despite complaints from other reviewers off-site. It sits comfortable on the head and doesn't slip. It is bright and long lasting.Would be nice if it was waterproof, but not going to happen in this price range with the lumen rating etc. It has been in pretty heavy rainfall for extended periods w/o any loss of functionality though.Would recommend if had at the right price. Solid piece 'o gear.
