For what it'd take you in materials alone to put something comparable together, let alone with the same level of craftsmanship, just buy this darn thing, it's way better.What it does:Keeps you from dropping your axe and watching it slide 2,000 ft down a colouirKeeps you from dropping your tools on your belayerWhat it doesn't to:Don't expect these to hold a fall, it's not their intended use and it might kill you.
