"I love it!" 04/11/12
I bought this to put my climbing gear to take to the gym instead of using a regular backpack-works great, its the perfect size I need, nothing too big, not too small. I really wanted it because of the chest strap features because hiking in at places to climb can get a bit tricky, and its good to know the pack isnt going anywhere.

The Shot pack is a great lightweight small sized bullet backpack! Perfect size for carrying a water bottle or two, snacks, a sweater/rain layer and your handy dandy guide book. Well placed chest strap and hip strap so it stays nice and snug on you while you get your body into any contorted position you can imagine. I use this pack for long trad climbing routes, trail running, school and pretty much everything else. Fits everything you need without excess! Quality craftsmanship, well designed and sleek looks make this pack a must have for any adventurer!
"Nice and Small!" 12/22/11
I'd try this one on in the store if able. I purchased this online and was a little surprised when I received it. However, I took my school books out of my climbing bag (sphynx 42L) and was able to put them all into the shot pack (16L). I think this will be a nice addition while on hikes or to the local climbing gym; A harness, shoes, H2O bladder, and some Blueberry crisp Clif bars. Anything made by BD is great quality!
"Small yet effective" 09/02/11
I recently got this pack in the mail and immediately began using it. My first impression was that it is very small, but I wasn't looking for anything big. I took it biking to a little climbing spot and it has just enough space for a camelbak, a coat in case it starts to rain, climbing chalk, and maybe a pair of shoes. If you are looking for something to get you through a two hour adventure or something to get your fsvorite bouldering spot, then this is the perfect little pack for you.
"2 Very Important Purposes in My LIFE!" 06/28/11
I use this pack all the time, almost exclusively for two specific purposes. Biking. It's the perfect size for my hydration bladder, some snacks and spare clothes or a raincoat. Indoor Bouldering. It's the perfect size for my shoes, chalkbag and some climbing pants. It fits really nice and snug, so it is very comfortable to wear on the go. Sometimes I like to take it along with my bigger packs just so it doesn't get lonely at home!
"Just arrived" 05/01/11
We just received this pack in the mail (purchased with moosejaw rewards points). It is a killer pack and is even more burly than we thought when we ordered it. The only thing that we thought (and maybe you are smarter than us and wouldn't think this) was that the stash pocket was different than the front zipper pocket. Stash pockets, to me, don't have zippers and are used on the inside of jackets, etc. to stash stuff in. We were hoping to stash our water canister in the stash pocket on this bag... but there is no stash pocket per se so we bought a Bactrian camel (next best thing).

This pack is uber-awesome. It's great for day trips on the trail, carrying pistachios on the slopes, and even bringing stuff to and from work and school. If you are looking for a small pack for just the essentials, GET THIS PACK.
