"Black Diamond Crampons are awesome." 11/07/11
I haven't used these yet (we just dipped below the sixties in Arizona...), but I tried them on and they appear to be really snug. I was concerned about getting the 'clip' type of crampon as I didn't want them to be sliding around, but it appears that this won't be a problem. But, like the 'Experience Level with this product' indicates, listening to me may not be super valuable. Remember that free advice is worth what you paid for it.
"Durable, dependable and light" 11/04/11
My go to crampon for snow and ice alpine route in the Cascades. They perform very well in both hard conditions and slush. The abs plates function well and help with grip on rock as well. I have never had trouble changing sizes from ski boots to climbing boots and the crampons have never come off or even twisted once. Have even used them in M3 climbing and they performed satisfactorily. Very versatile.
"Solid and durable" 10/20/11
Some internet reviews have pointed out that the usage of stainless steel is gimmicky as it is actually less strong than cromolly steel. However, i have used these crampons for one year and they are going pretty good. Feel pretty solid
"no need to step hard..." 05/22/11
with this crampons walk softly and gently over the ice without any worrieseasy to put on and adjust to the boot, nice sharped and the plates on the sole really helps with the snowlloking forward to use them again!

+&- (by my own experience):+)Very easy to set desired size. This can be important using soft & plastic footwear at a time, or if some teamnazes use a single crampons pair to save weight.+)Screw on the back allows easy to fit it to any type of footwear.+)Very compact fold. This is important for Light&Fast ascent.+)The aggressive angle of the front teeth offloads the legs on the technically pitches.+)Very convenient clasp. Doesn’t freeze & can easily be fastened at low temp.-)Horizontal front teeth. I’d like to asymmetric vertical.-)In my kit weren’t antiballs. This isn’t a lack of model.These crampons were excellent in technical and winter/high-altitude climbing (upto -40*c)

"Calms the nerves" 06/11/10
Great all around crampon. Lots of good things have been said about the BD Sabretooth crampons so I'll add what I haven't already read. Gives you peace of mind that you won't slip and tumble down the mountain. Straps are initially long so you can cut it to fit your boot. Having so many points gives it the versatility for different situations. Stainless steel is solid even for going on exposed rock. The orange on the bottom of the antiball plates makes for great photos from under.
"Sweet" 12/03/09
These are some great crampons. They fit my La Sportiva Glacier Evo boots very nicely.<br><br>At first I was worried, because my boots didn't have a toe welt and I had to get this front strap rather than the front bail, but these hold like they're bolted on to the boots.<br><br>Super-sharp points, and the include anti-balling plates are a nice touch.

I've used these for mixed climbing throughout New England and have never had any shenanigans. They fit on my Scarpa Mantas and Invernos perfectly giving me a little versatility when I go out and play. Best of all, this summer I was helping a friend expand his living room and found these things climb drywall like a champ. No worries though. I had my helmet on and was top roping off the ceiling fan for safety. Not recommended for kick ball.
