"Great beginner Leashless tool that likes to swing"  01/04/09

These tools weigh about the same as my friends older Vipers, with a similar swing feel. Compared to the Vipers, these tools have more knuckle clearance, a slightly more aggressive curve to the shaft and the grip is very natural with much easier hand matches compared to the vipers. The only time I preferred my friends Vipers was on a longer route where I felt more secure with the leashes.Dry tooling worked with the angle of the tool putting my arms in a comfortable position. The picks worked just fine on the.I would recommend these to anyone who wants a leashless Viper. I would not recommend these to anyone who prefers tools like the Grivel Monsters, as these will feel too heavy.
