Too large to comfortably travel withI bought these on a whim on points. While they're a very high quality product, these poles do not collapse well enough to hike with or even travel with. They're too long to attach to a pack comfortably, even when divided into two pieces.,,,,"Oh but they're SKI poles, not TREKKING poles!",,,,Ok sure, maybe I should have paid attention and gotten a collapsible three-piece instead for hiking. Even so, these things would be hard to fly with even if you're going up just to ski. Broken into two, these things were still so long that they precariously placed in a oversized duffel and probably would have poked through had I not removed the ski-baskets and stuck the pointy ends into a plastic bottle.,,,,Maybe you've already sorted out shipping your skis and adding poles to the package isn't going to complicate things. But for casual people, these things are just a burden to travel with.,,,,If the very non-collapsible dimensions doesn't deter you, these are pretty solid and comfortable.
