The Black Diamond Punisher Glove is an waterproof glove for ice climbing. The fixed lining means the incidence of slippage stays low while gripping your ice axes and EVA padded knuckles protects against impacts. Never know when the wall of ice gets closer than planned on a swing. A goat leather palm increases the grip and dexterity along with the pre-curved fit. Wiggle your fingers and enjoy the 100g fleece lining of warmth and the 100% waterproof BDry insert protects against snow, ice, and all the melted versions of them as well.

great dexterityok so it's not ice season yet - I can't review these for warmth but they fit great and are very dexterous. I can manipulate ropes, biners, and zippers while wearing them. Based on other reviews and recommendations I am looking forward to using them well this winter climbing season. I've had good luck with other BD mitts and gloves so I am hoping these will be good as well. Maybe the run a little small - I am always torn between medium and large on gloves when they are not more granular sized. But that doesn't mean they run small - it could just be my hand size.

I love these gloves so muchI bought these for ice climbing and I'm very happy with them. These gloves are warm, durable and very dextrous. I really like the design and they stay warm down to about 15 degrees just like they claim. So for all temperatures above that I give them 4 stars. The wrist has a solid constriction, and they don't come off and on easily, but I think this is a good thing more than a bad thing It also has a nice velcro strap that tucks underneath cuffs easily.

FunctionalI bought these gloves to replace a 15-20 year old pair of ski gloves that sometimes doubled as all purpose winter gloves. The biggest positives are that they seem well made and durable, and the cuffs fit snug (with the help of the Velcro fastener) around the wrist and easily get under your shell. They were also warm and dry in snowy 20 degree conditions while skiing. The biggest downside is that I wore these to an outdoor hockey game at 20 degrees and my hands were cold. They also are a little stiff but I assume they will soften up with use.
