The OvalWire Carabiner by Black Diamond is a lightweight oval carabiner with a wire gate and thinner-profile body. Weighs 17 grams less than the traditional Oval. Wiregate resists gate whiplash and icing in alpine conditions.

Large, light (for an oval), and cheap = great racking biner for nuts. I like that it's not a snagless nose as that's saved a nut or two from being lost to a long fall.

This oval biner is lightweight and perfect for racking nuts or tricams. The oval shape allows for easy movement of the extra pieces and the wire gate allows for you to easily unclip the piece you want.

must have for anybody who loves the outdoors. the carabiners comes in usefull for many different things. it's not too heavy to carry on your pack for a day or extended trip

I have a few of these but I can't say that I would buy more. There's nothing exceptional about them but they're okay. Strength, weight, price, everything about them is average. I wouldn't use them for racking gear, they're a bit too bulky and heavy.

"Decent" 11/23/11

I use this to rack nuts, and like any wire biner, it's light, and clips smoothly. I have had a few nuts fall off while I was sliding them around to get at the right one, so that could be an issue with wire gates for racking nuts.

"Good, Light Carabiner" 02/07/11

Perfect for attaching any sort of loose gear to a harness, or for attaching anything to a pack for a day a the gym. Very light, and the wiregate mouth is simple and wide.

"Basic wire gate carabiner, still does its job perfectly." 01/11/11

For the price, this carabiner is perfect for any application you don't need the safey of an autolock or screwgate. The wire gate makes clipping and unclipping this incredibly easy.

"Good All Use Biner" 01/02/11

I use this as an extra biner on my trad rack. Extending gear placements, building anchors etc. Clips well and relatively light. Gate opens nice and wide for easy rope clipping.

"Light, Strong, and Versatile" 10/27/10

This is the lightest full size biner I own. I use this to clip my heaviest pieces of pro. The biner is much lighter than its regular oval counterpart, so if reducing grams is an issue go with this one.
