Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light(ish), Cheap, and oval Not a bad biner overall, although I somewhat disagree with everybody who likes them for racking. Racking biners should have a keylock gate to avoid snags. Get a helium or spirit for that. ,,,,No, what these are great for is aid, where you want to avoid your biners shifting as you move weight into them on a sketchy hook move above equally sketchy pro. ,,,,They're also nice for just general purpose stuff (chalk bags, corlettes, etc) where you don't care so much about snag potential. For god's sake though, don't rack your nuts on these, the cable wires get caught in the gate as you're removing them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Why oval? For an oval carabiner, it's light and does exactly as it should....but...it may seem like a great idea to rack your gear with oval carabiners, but it's not. It's hard to figure out which end is up on the fly and they don't really fit that much more gear anyway. Just get normal carabiners, because you will use them to clip in while climbing, and it's not so easy with an oval, and thinking the gate is on the other side while trying to get your gear in place is not a good thing to mess with while hanging on the crux trying to get your nuts out before you plunge deep.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it should while weighing less than it should. These things are classic, cheap, and do what you need them to do--like your favorite beer! I use them mostly for webbing applications but I have used them to make draws in a bind. Really, you can use them for anything but I would suggest in the name of gravity that you use a locking biner for anchors. I wouldn't suggest trying to eat them, even though they're shiny. Buy a few! BD makes great stuff no doubt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice unit, err, carabiner. A very nice carabiner! Very light weight, as others have said. I'll say it again, though, they're very light weight. I'm not a climber, but having several of these carabiners clipped in different places on my gear sure makes me feel like one. The wire clip is a nice feature, cutting down on weight, but still maintaining a very strong functionality. I'm going to go watch Cliffhanger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light, airy, and SO much fun to play with! I originally wanted the Trango Wiregate that was on sale, but since y'all were out of those, a sales perosn suggested these, and HOT DARN! they are great! I love original oval biners, but these wiregates have changed my ways! i even gave a pair to my girlfriend to use as earrings! Thanks guys and gals!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from all around great carabiner! These guys are completely affordable, a versatile shape, and the wiregate makes them incredibly light! Use them for climbing, setting up your slackline, or to just clip your shoes to your daypack... keys, too! Don't lose those. BD is just all around reliable. Pick up a bunch of these!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from BD BEANERS RULE!!! These are some super light beaners!!!! I love them and cant get enough. I have 20+ of these, one for every piece of gear duh... I think they are super light the wire gate is very sturdy and easy to open, never had a malfunction with one of these bad boys.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid racking biner The ideal biner to rack a chalkbag onto your harness -- low weight, wire, and wide-oval shape is perfect for getting the chalkbag to hang perpendicular to the ground without getting all fussed up because of small chalkbag loops or an overly small biner.
