nice tool, solid for leverage when getting nuts etc out, would have been good with a built in clip. Weight is a bit on the heavy side but you know its not going to break in a hurry. No complaints

If you're wondering which nut tool to buy, I would recommend this one. It really gets the job done and its cheap. Its my favorite.

"Pretty Great" 04/14/12

Quality piece of gear. What's the best thing about this piece of gear, you ask? Pretty simple. Its dirt cheap. The hook on the front works great for grabbing stuck pro, and can almost be used for an aid hook if you feeling dangerous. Almost is the active term in that sentence. But really, it might be tough enough to pull it off. But I still would not try it.

"Lightweight, Sturdy and Cheap" 02/08/12

For less than 10 bucks this is a great nut tool that is very light and can withstand some pretty vigorous banging with a rock when the situation dictates it.

"Great Tool" 10/19/11

This has never let me down; some innovation required sometimes, such as bringing a stone to ram the end of this to knock a nut loose. Overall, very sturdy construction. It could be slightly thinner though.

"Great nut tool for the money, can't go wrong." 06/26/11

For 10 bucks you can't go wrong. Does what it's supposed to, and easily clips to any biner you want. Only negative is the finish, which is already showing some oxidation/rust after a couple uses. There are probably "better" nut tools out there, but for $10 can't beat it.

"Gets the job done" 07/28/10

My only beef with the nut tool is that there are placements for #2 and #1 bd nuts that this tool can't get out because it is too wide. It is also a little on the short side for deeper placements, but not too bad overall.

"Does what it's supposed to do. Light weight." 04/16/10

Great tool, easy to handle, lots of places to tie on a leash, bottle opener is a nice plus. All in all, it's a good nut tool, and it does what nut tools are supposed to do.In hindsight, however, I think I would've been happier with the Metolius tool for its integrated wire gate. The wire gate is useful for keeping it clipped out of the way when you're not using it. With the BD tool, I usually keep an extra carabiner on the harness for the same purpose. Plus the solid 'blade' on the Metolius is handy for spreading peanut butter or mayo in a pinch.

"Heavy but reliable and sturdy" 03/01/10

A bit heavier that other brands I've used in the past and doesn't have built-in clips, but these are bombproof. Also, can't beat the prices.

"Does the job well" 03/07/08

Great length for a nut tool when digging gear out of cracks. The biggest adjustment I would make would be to add a gate for easy removal from the harness, but in terms of a straight forward tool, it is very efficient.
