All you need in a harness for a good priceThere's a reason why everyone and their mom wears this harness - it has the best cost/value ratio of any on the market. The SA (speed adjust I believe?) tightening on the waistbelt is very nice - make sure you get it over the DS, as with the DS you have to double back each time you put it on. The SA system is super fast and easy, and gets you climbing quickly. The only thing I don't like is that the leg loops shift tightness over time while you climb, getting looser and moving around. It's not a huge deal though and is easily fixed. Pretty lightweight and bomber construction - you won't regret buying this harness.

Good for single pitch, not great for hanging belaysI use this harness for sport climbing a ton, and it does a great job with that. Comfy, easy to get on/off (the SA buckle is worth it). ,,,,On the other hand, this is not a very good harness to hang in for any extended period of time. It's not *un*comfortable, but there are definitely better harnesses out there for you if you're going to be doing a lot of multi-pitch climbing. Then again, if you're going to be doing a lot of multi-pitch, you probably already know this. ,,,,The detailing in the back tends to get kind of scuffed, but that's really only an aesthetic concern.,,,,All in all, a good all-around harness.

A Starter and Finisher HarnessThe price may suggest entry level, but this a harness you could wear for the vast majority of climbs you'll do throughout your life. After 5 months of pretty intense climbing I've noticed the belay loop is getting a little fuzzy but the tie in loops and other key parts are all still in perfect condition. ,,,,It's comfortable, durable and most importantly versatile, with solid gear loops and the haul loop. You'd have to pay twice the price to get a harness with any noticeable improvement in importance. ,,,,One criticism I would say is that I find adjustable leg loops redundant and would not look for them in my next harness, but that's not really a criticism of this particular harness. ,,

WOWZA!!I love this harness, its light and the buckle system is sweet, like the description says - much faster than the traditional "O is for open, C is for closed" doubling back system. Just thread it through once, tighten, and you're good to go. To loosen, just pull up on the tab. Super fast. The gear loops are great, the chalk bag loop is great, and the adjustable leg loops are great. I have read elsewhere that the gear loops look cheap. They really don't, they have a clear plastic covering over them to make them a little more rigid so it's easier to clip gear to, who doesn't want that! Sizing is spot on, I am a 32" waist and could hang on the rock in my Medium all day. Thanks Black Diamond!

A great, well made harness that's reasonably comfortableThis is a great harness. I'm relatively tall ~6'1" and thin ~165 lbs. According to the size chart I needed a small harness (29" waist, 21" thighs). The harness fits my waist and thighs perfectly. Unfortunately, the leg loops are a little short for me so the harness has a tendency to get all up in my business. Long story short if you're built like me (tall and athletic with a thin waist) you might want to go with the Medium. All in all it's a fantastic harness and I'll keep using it despite the less than ideal fit because Moosejaw doesn't accept returns on climbing gear.

Excellent Sport Climbing HarnessI'm finally ready to write a review after using this harness for top roping and sport climbing for over a year. The Momentum SA harness is a fantastic value and holds up quite well. It is not the most comfortable harness I've used, but it is the best you can get at the prices point. It has held up to wear and tear very well and should continue to last me quite a while longer. ,,,,There are ample gear loops for sport climbing and I haven't run into any issues with them breaking. The quick adjusts on the waist and legs work wonderfully as well. I definitely recommend it.

It's a great harness, especially considering the price range.I chose this harness over the Petzl Sama because I didn't want to spend a ton of money on a first harness. The primary advantage of the Momentum SA over the Sama is the adjustable leg loops, and I think it is a more comfortable harness to wear, but that's subjective. ,,,,Pros:,,Adjustable leg loops,,Comfortably padded waist band,,Adequate gear loops for quick draws and carabiners,,,,Cons:,,Waist can be a bit difficult to deal with, I usually have to take it out of the clip entirely to get it over my legs. Waist strap could be a bit bigger. Probably okay for people with slimmer legs. ,,,,All things considered this is probably the best sub $60 dollar harness you can find. More than adequate for a beginner or intermediate sport climber.

Great harness for anyone it fits!I have been using this harness for over half a year, from outdoors to indoors on the gym wall. It is a fantastic harness and the adjustable leg loops are great. They loosen up wide enough that you can put your feet through, even with steel-toe boots on (no joke). I have sat in this harness for 30+ minutes creating routes, and while you will get a little stiff, it is better than some harnesses (what harness will feel good after dangling for half an hour?) Have taken 20-30 foot falls in it and it's still plenty strong. Overall, a GREAT buy!
