Mostly for aid#1 and 2 say specifically "body weight only" but man the cables are thin on all of them. Really this is a specialized tool for micro-cracks on aid routes, or old aid routes that you are trying to climb free. I have owned these for years and have very rarely placed them, even though a full set weighs so little I carried them up routes for a long time just in case. Not any more. Now they sit in the bottom of my tub of climbing gear, neglected. If you're debating it, try a set of small offsets instead. They fit old pin scars better than these.

Fun, but not my piece of pie...Vastly different from the miro-nuts, these guys are more difficult to place odly shaped and are composed of very pliable metal. I think it's metal. Could be hard lead - at least that is how it feels. It forms to the crack and gives you great stick, but then you take it out and see the deep impressions or bends on the edges. If I wasn't so cheap I would probably not use anything below a 3 more than twice.

If you want microstoppers why don't you buy them?Standard micro stoppers - not for beginners. I havn't fallen on one so I can't say they saved my life, but they might some day. Just remember that 1 and 2 are rated for body weight only...
