The best all around jacket in my arsenal of jackets!!!I wish I would have purchased this jacket years ago because it would have saved me lots of money wasted on others. The versatility of this jacket is awesome! It could substitute for a traditional hard shell in all but the worst rainstorms, yet has the freedom of movement and breathability of a traditional softshell. I can layer it as an outer piece, or wear as a stand alone in moderate temps. I really love this jacket for its function and terrific looks! In fact, I like it so much I purchased it in 2 colors. They should both last me for many years to come.

Great Quality!Black diamond makes quality products. I live in Portland and this serves as a great rain jacket, water reflects right off it, but is also perfect for on the mountain in the snow. I highly reccomend this jacket!

I'm 6-0' 180 athletic build looking for a more tapered cut in a soft shell (don't want baggy ski clothes). Should I get a M or L? I see reviewers in my size range stating either wore for them.
I would be layering it but not with much ...

Thanks for the question, Matt! This jacket does run large and has a lot of stretch. Based on the fit you are looking for, I would go with the Medium. If you plan on wearing heavier layers, then I would consider getting the Large. Hope this helps!
