Amazing volume-to-weight ratioI had the original Chouinard Pyramid back in the day. That thing was light for its time; this thing is light for *our* time. The old aluminum pole is now carbon, and of course the tent fabric is sil-nylon rather than urethane-coated. Inside, there's enough room for four, if inhabitants are cleverly arranged around the center pole. My wife and I use it as a palace for two, with lots of space for gear. Like all sil-nylon tents, the seams should be sealed with SilNet before use -- a bear of a job, given the size of the tent -- and dusted with unscented talc, so bears don't find your tent delicious. (Plain talc can be found at auto-supply stores.) But all in all, my favorite tent ever.

Half the weight and strong enough for Denali! This made a great cook tent on Denali this spring. It is half the weight of the megamid, and stood up to 40 mph winds and heavy snow!
