Solid pad, but woudn't trust it as my only padThis is a really solid "filler" pad for your bouldering arsenal. Only four inches thick and a decent size crease in the middle means there's a risk for bottoming out if you land in the wrong spot. Not a big risk though, Ive taken big falls on it and haven't felt a thing. Other than that I like the duel handles on either side of the pad which make it pretty easy to move around. If you are looking to climb with only one pad I would suggest something beefier like the Mad Rock Mad-Pad (an inch thicker, bigger area, and like 30 bucks cheaper) or even the bigger Black Diamond pads.

This is a great pad for certain situations. This pad feels great to land on but is fairly tight. If you are doing highballs then this shouldn't be your only pad! Also, on a steep landing it seemed to launch me down the mountain rather than stick my landing like a perfect gymnast in the Olympics. However, if you are an all around climber, this is a great pad that will protect you! I also have the Mad Rock pad which is a little bigger and a little thicker which is preferred in sketch situations. Tots get it!
