"Save your money, this is total crap, poorly made." 03/12/13

The bag was destroyed by an airline baggage handler tugging on the center handles. Completely blew up the bag. It couldn't possibly hold up in extreme conditions. I was extremely disappointed by Black Diamonds response: "sorry, but we'll sell you a replacement at a discount". I should have stuck with the North Face bag.

"Got me around the world." 01/14/13

I just used this bag to pack for a 12 day trip from JFK to Moscow to Israel for 10 days and then back to the USA. I was able to fit everything no problem. I put a piece of cardboard on the bottom of the bag before packing to help hold its shape and protect the items in the bag, but this isn't totally necessary. I dragged the bag through the airport using the straps at the top and bottom and also wore it like a backpack with both straps and a messenger bag with one strap. This bag is bomber. I encountered rain, sleet, and snow (yes, in Israel!) and everything stayed dry.

"A Durable Go Everywhere Duffle Bag" 08/11/11

I use my Huey Duffle for everything. I have been across the country and back with this bag. I use it all the time when go car camping. I have carried (and often times dragged) this bag full of stuff around airports, hotels and campsites for several years now and its still in excellent condition. When not in use, it makes for great gear storage. The Huey is a very durable go everywhere duffle bag. Black Diamond Quality all the way!

"Black Diamond Duffel of Kings" 11/12/10

I am in love with this Duffel... It holds my gear any time I travel. I got the 100L max size for checked baggage and its contained ice axes, tools and trekking poles without a single hole. I'd put my child in this bag if she had razors for toes.

"Top Notch Bag" 11/05/09

Perfect bad to use will transitioning a ton of gear to your locations. I hike Mt Washington NH frequenty and use this bag to carry a variety of gear so that I prepared to deal with the changing weather conditions. This bag does that with ease.

"hasn't disappointed so far" 07/09/09

I've onlt had this big fella out on one trip through the airport, but found it to be spacious enough, tough enough, and comfy enough for schlepping about the country.On a day-to-day basis it works perfectly for keeping all my paddling gear in check. The Rhinohyde is indestructable (will show cosmetic scuffs however). I love this bag.

"Durable, spacious, better than the competitors! Excellent buy!" 04/09/09

I bought the Huey 60L and could not find a very descriptive review, so I'm going to do my best to provide the details I couldn't find.The bag is extremely durable. The material is thick and repels water really well. I wouldn't say it is waterproof (so don't go submerging it), but it is water resistant enough where it can be left outside of a tent overnight with a light rain and it will be fine.The shoulder straps are very useful and fairly comfortable for a short haul. Definitely not for backpacking over 2 miles.The top flap has small pockets to store things, but other than that it is one wide open duffel.

"super durable" 06/08/08

this bad rocks, I got it in black and it's amazingly durable and looks awesome ... i just wish it had a more secure closing at the top, the Velcro closure makes it easy to get in the back but it makes me think twice before taking it to the airport

"Black Diamond never, EVER disappoints" 04/17/08

This bag is bomb proof! I have carried my trad climbing gear and pretty much anything else you can think of in it and it has held up remarkably! absolute worth the money! The shoulder straps for carrying it from place to place will completely stuffed is great. Makes transport much easier.

"This is one burly duffel" 10/26/07

I took a two month trek and mountaineering trip to Nepal and Tibet. I had two bags with me both were BD Hueys. These things are indestructible. They were dragged, smashed, lashed to every concievable pack animal and they didn't even flinch. They are scuffed up, but they have many more years of service in them. They are a bit heavy, but if you want to protect your gear, this is your bag.

"D Best Duffle out there there" 09/09/06

Totally bomber gear duffle. No worries if ice tools, etc. w/exposed picks, spikes get loose. Material is bullet proof! You can drag it, carry it alone, w/help or like a pack. I got the the 150L size and can fit enough gear for a BC and AK Range climb for two in full conditions! This is going to be your duffle for heavy gear and sharp stuff; the stuff that tears apart other bags.<BR><BR>One tiny complaint; I wish it were a brighter color. sometimes it looks like a rock. Other than that, you won't find a better gear duffle.

This is a great size for a duffle bag. Shoulder straps add convenience for hands free hauling. This bag isn't as comfortable on the back as the NorthFace duffles.
