The Black Diamond HotWire Quickdraw knows all about that special connection between two individuals who are just meant to be together. The individuals in question? A hot-forged Nitron straight-gate carabiner and a hot-forged HotWire carabiner, held together by the sheer power of opposites attracting (and a 14mm Dynex dogbone, which also features a straitjacket insert). The Nitron also brings its snag-free, hassle-free functionality to the quickdraw, while the HotWire offers a large rope-bearing surface and a flat gate-to-rope interface for optimal use.

"Easy - great - lovely!" 04/04/12

I own only BD draws (Hotwires) and like it - the Hotwires is a good all-around draw. They are fairly light and the wire gate makes clipping a bit easier than with a solid gate. It is a good all-around draw.

"So far so good." 07/27/11

I've been using these now for about a week and they seem good. I was hoping for wire gates on both ends but this is all they had in the store so I went for it. The clipping action if good. Seems to go smoothly and I haven't really fumbled around when using them. They seem strong and took a couple falls and as is typical with BD products I feel completely safe.

"great draws for most sport climbs" 05/09/11

These are my favorite draws for most sport climbs. The wire gates provide super smooth clipping which can be crucial when going for the redpoint on your toughest projects. The top solid gate biner is super trustworthy. One of the nicest features about this draw though is that it is keyless which makes cleaning even the steepest overhanging routes a breeze.The one thing to watch out for is on low angle face climbs, if the circumstances are right the wire gate can open if dragged across the rock the wrong way.
