The Black Diamond FreeWire Quickdraw is the perfect choice for the value-conscious sport climber: it won't break upon being stressed, but it also won't break your wallet upon being purchased (which, I suppose, is still a kind of stress). It features two wiregate Quicksilver carabiners connected by a durable 18mm nylon dogbone and can function properly in all sorts of undertakings.

This was my first set of quickdraws, and they have worked great. They are a little heavier than other types, but also these are as cheap as they come. They will catch you either way, so I would definitely recommend these to anyone interested! Good luck and happy climbing!

These are the cheapest draws but they still are great! Easy clips and a big dog bone so you can grab it easily.

"Great product for the price." 03/12/13

I have thought about only climbing free solo to save money on gear but I would never get any good before I died. Instead, I will pay for quality when needed and snag good buys when they are available. These quickdraws fall into the good buy category. Sure you can get lighter beaners with smoother mechanics but not at this price point.

I really don't think that you can find a better draw for the price. I like the fatty dogbone, and I think they clip well; especially after being broken in. However, if you're obsessed about reducing the weight on your rack, I would recommend finding something else.

"Great quickdraw, easy to clip and light weight." 02/17/13

What can I say it's a quickdraw, it gets the job done. I love the wire gate opening. It nice that it comes in two different sizes. Great addition to my gear rack. Love using them for sport climbs.

"Good basic draw" 02/09/13

Got these because they were among the cheapest draws, and I can't see any reason why spend more on draws. Good all over, great choice to fill up for the sport routes. The wire gate seems to work nicely.

Pros:Affordable (Because you have to have so many)Light (Have to spend 20+ per quickdraw to really tell the difference)Not flashy (You are rock climbing not making a fashion statement)Very good brand (World known brand)Cons:Are you kidding, overall this is the best deal

I have tried many quick draws and this one is just as good as the $20 ones. It is very light and easy to put your rope through.PROs:Price Relative lightnessHas a small rubber to hold your carabiners from turning aroundCons:Very simple design (Even though I think it looks fine)That is it!!! I would save your money and use it on some other equipment on moose jaw (points)

"Quality Quickdraw" 12/07/12

I've always been a fan of wire gate quickdraws due to their light weight. These quickdraws are the best deal out there when it comes to wire gate draws. I'll admit they are not the easiest to clip and they are definitely not the lightest draws on the market but they are absolutely the best value out there.

"Solid quickdraw, not the lightest but does what it's supposed to do" 11/27/12

The FreeWire quickdraw works very well, the carabiners feel solid and clip in and out very easily. The dogbone is kind of bulky and thick. Some of the stitching is coming undone already, nothing too bad but it might not last forever. It is also on the heavy side, but still a good value for its relatively cheap price.

"Hard To Beat For The Money" 11/17/12

These draws are strong and light, plus they don't break the bank. If climbing mostly multipitch trad routes, I would recommend getting the longer length. I have had no trouble with durability as would be expected with any Black Diamond products.
