I bought this to strengthen my forearms for rock climbing & I can't complain much about this trainer - I only bought it for $6. The resistance isn't very high so the best way to use it is see how long you can squeeze it rather than repititions, as that could take a long time.Good to use anywhere - in the car, at work. I keep it with me all the time.
We have two if these at home. My husband and I both climb. They're great for forearm strength improvement. We both use them while watching TV. I used to take mine to work for while I was on the phone and for the drive home. Works great for that rush hour traffic stress!
Be warned, I was asked if I have hemorrhoids when seen with it. Other than that, fun to keep at desk and squeeze mindlessly. Good stress reliever. Serious rubber smell though, tried washing it but no help.
Frisbee 2/10 - will spin off axis. Bracelet 1/10 - feels restricting, hand color will eventually match. Beer coaster 7/10 - also place on bottleneck for recognition purposesDog befriending tool 10/10 - tailwagin guaranteed!Ornament 6/10 - represents the circle of life, but attracts dog for some reason.
The ring provided some nice additional grip/forearm work when I began climbing, but quickly became far too easy to be really useful. I now use it primarily after climbing when my fingers are a bit sore and just need to be lightly worked.
I have used standard grip strengtheners before (plastic grips with metal coil found at most big box retailers), but have never felt results this quickly before. This gripper has more resistance and the simple design makes variation and focus on different finger grips easy. I was simply amazed at how quickly my strength has increased in such a short period of time. Very good product!
"surprised me as to how hard it works your forearms"
I got this thing yesterday and started cranking some out thinking this is easy why did i order this thing??? then like twenty seconds later my arm was burning. this thing works well and im definitely glad i got it
"Works much better than week-old donuts!"
It is what is. I like this much better than the old fashioned spring gripper. The only disappointment is when you first use it and realize just how weak your non-dominant hand really is! Overall, it's cheap and will help you grow those Popeye arms you've always wanted!
