Rated 5 out of 5 by from GET ONEBLOCKEDKEYWORDIT'S CHEAP, PORTABLE, EASY TO USE, AND COULD HELP YOU TO SEND THAT BOULDER PROB I BOUGHT THIS ITEM AS PART OF MY "RETURN TO CLIMBING STRENGTHENING PROGRAM" AND GENERALLY KEEP IT ON MY DESK FOR USE THROUGHOUT THE DAY. ALTHOUGH THERE IS AN "INSTRUCTIONS" LINK ON BD'S SITE, ALL IT SAYS IS "YEAH, RIGHT...OK- HERE'S WHAT TO DO: PLACE IN HAND (LIKE THE PHOTO ABOVE), SQUEEZE (LIKE THE PHOTO ABOVE), AND REPEAT AS NECESSARY. IT'S THAT SIMPLE. FUN FOR DAYS." WELL, IT'S NOT NECESSARILY THAT SIMPLEBLOCKEDKEYWORDTHERE ARE A LOT OF POTENTIAL EXERCISES AND VARIATIONS ONE COULD DO (DIFFERENT REPS AND SUSTAINED COMPRESSION/TENSION EXERCISES, PLUS WORKING INDIVIDUAL FINGERS AND COMBINATIONS) AND IT WOULD BE HELPFUL IF AN EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST (PREFERABLY A CLIMBER) WOULD OFFER SOME GUIDA

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this is helping regain strength after a forced break from climbing due to injury, this is helping regain some of the strength in my hands and forearms, finding the time to work on exercises can be hard, but having this on hand to utilize at any time is helping to regain strength when i find myself too busy to actually climb is great, it is helping me maintain my forearms, sure it is'nt as effective as actually spending the time climbing, but its been helping me, 100% recommend this as an accessory to staying strong when time constraints stop me from actually climbing

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Best when used with something else This thing never stops smelling. Ever.,,I like this exerciser since I have a deskjob and can pop it out and use it whenever I want, but on its own it just made it feel like I was getting wicked tendonitis in my fingers. My fingers would just get unbearably stiff. So I got a Powerball and use the Powerball, then switch the Powerball to the other hand and the BD ring to unoccupied hand and keep switching back and forth. Holding a contraction seems to work very well too. This is brutal exercise and doesn't give you tendonitis.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bitch'n When I'm climbing, it seems like it's my grip that gives out before anything else so I got this little rubber sex toy to help with that. I leave it in the car! Sitting at a traffic light? Rip off 20 reps per hand. On a long drive? Experiment with new and exciting ways to squeeze it. Bored to tears with your passenger's endless banter? Try pronating your wrist while gripping hard. Either way, it'll kill stress, draw funny looks from other drivers, and pump your grip up like Sharma.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feel your tendons toughen The Black Diamond Forearm Developer is a solid rubber hoop that's really simple in design but effective. Squeeze - relase, squeeze - release. While playing poker on the internet I play with this little device, which takes no conscious effort to use and you can feel your lower forearm tendons toughening after constant use. Very helpful if you lack upper body strength and don't eant to be embarassed on the climbing walls!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tight way to kill time and still feel like you are doing something constructive I got this little puppy and I love it, its good for keeping yourself busy while your doing something like watching a movie and are slightly ADD like me. I use it while reading, studying, and in the middle of classes when the prof is just way too thrilling to pay attention too. ,, Bottom line, its affordable, portable, and a dang good way to work your muscles when you cant go outside and chase real adventure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Service Just wanted to thank you guys. This order is pretty minimal and cost only a few bucks but I was offered to have it shipped from a different store. Having dealt with other stores that do not share inventory has left me very annoyed in the past, but your service was extremely convenient.

Oh by the way I use it all the time. Helps me stay focused during class and trains my forearms.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good product I have used standard grip strengtheners before (plastic grips with metal coil found at most big box retailers), but have never felt results this quickly before. This gripper has more resistance and the simple design makes variation and focus on different finger grips easy. I was simply amazed at how quickly my strength has increased in such a short period of time. Very good product!
