Pretty sweet, but I could use a little more sweetnessOk, this pack is great as a duffel but the only things that make it a "deluxe sport cragging duffel pack" is the inclusion of a rope tarp and possibly the Black Diamond logo. If it were to really be geared toward climbers, it would have a place to hang quick draws and other gear on the inside. ,,,,On the flip-side, it does have a lot of room inside and is more comfortable than it looks to wear when it is fully loaded with 60 pounds of rope, gear, boots and water. I just got done hauling this around for a a weekend in the Red River Gorge on some pretty sketchy approaches and a lot of the time, I forgot that it was even there. ,,

Best Option for a Climbing PackAs gear lovers, it can be hard to deny an Osprey or Arcteryx with all of their "technical" features, but this pack is far superior for its intended purpose, which is carrying your stuff to and from the crag. It's freakin cavernous, accepting my 70m rope, shoes, water, food, draws, phone and wallet (in interior zip pocket), guidebook, and jacket! The full zip makes access to anything at any time possible, and it is pretty comfortable too. The rope tarp is definitely not undersized, and it helps to be able to detach it sometimes. The price is simply unbeatable. Definitely buy this pack; there is no better option.

Great Pack!!I am no liar... I do not own this pack. I own its predecessor the BD BOA. I bought it because it was on sale cheap. But I have grown to appreciate this pack enuff to write this review.,,I have loaned it to friends to abuse through technical canyons in Zion & Red Rock.,,I use it to hump my climbing gear to countless sport crags throughout the SW.,,I drag it up long trad routes, burrowing through squeeze chimneys and hauling back down the Mtn.,,It carries my carryables on weekend hikes and snowshoeing.,,........and it transports my jammies to sleepovers.,,If it would only wear out I would buy the new one!!

Comfortable, Pretty, BD, but Missing Some Key ElementsThe review by NEALL above isn't too far off the mark. That said, I do appreciate it's wearability though I doubt seriously the padding is enough for truly long approaches (this is not the bag for alpine crags requiring with more than a 1-2 approach.) Also, I am, somehow able to pack my full single rack (no doubles), draw rack (15 draws), rope, harness, shoes, daisies, cords, spare slings, and even food and water into it. Great overall (but not REALLY specialized) storage for the day trip to the crag!

Awesome, versatile bag!I've used this thing camping, hiking, and while traveling. It's a nice, sturdy, versatile pack that is made extremely well. Shoulder straps are comfy and is actually pleasant to carry, even when packed full, if you balance the weight in the bag correctly. Highly recommended!
