Rated 3 out of 5 by from Unecessary weight and money I used one of these a few times, they work good. However, I think they're uncessary. I've strapped crampons on the outside of my pack which keeps everything inside from getting wet. Be sure they're secured though, a friend just lost a set of crampons that were strapped to the outside (if you find a set of Sabretooths near the bottom of Mount Jasper, let me know). I usually use a Crown Royal bag from 1.75l bottle to hold my crampons, it's lighter than the BD bag. Not as tough but my crampons aren't as sharp as a razor blade so it's good enough. It also came with a bunch of whiskey so....go ahead and try to argue. ;)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits perfectly, sturdy, came with an awesome bumper sticker. I have a pair of Petzl Vasak Flexlock crampons, and they fit in this bag perfectly. It's reinforced in all the right places to keep points from spearing your gear, and it's a very attractive neon orange. Ok, maybe not attractive, but it makes it highly visible which is a plus. The mesh on top is perfect for draining out melting snow, all in all a great bag. Also, I got a sweet Moosejaw bumper sticker with it, which is awesome and I haven't decided which car to put it on yet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does what it does Nice crampon bag.,,,,Good: Open mesh lets crampons dry out without having to take them out of the bag. The loop so you can clip the top loop and a lower loop that makes them easy to throw on the outside of a pack. Opens way up easy in/out.,,,,Bad: Mesh seems a bit weak and can get your points caught in it. but I haven't ripped it yet. I caught my front point in it and had to untangle it.,,,,Overall: Nice durable bag seems like it should lst a long time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great with one flaw. This crampon bag is nothing less than what I have come to expect from BD. The overall quality and versatility is great! I even use this to store a couple of my ice screws (a little tight I'll admit but not unbearable). ,,,,The only down side is the mesh top which I assume is for air drying. I think this could have been engineered differently to keep the crampon points from getting caught. I haven't torn it yet, but it is likely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Look past the color Simple bag that does exactly what it supposed to do. I used the bag to carry a pair of BD Sabretooth Pro Crampons and the fit couldn't be better. Also note, my Grivel G-12's fit well also. I prefer the use of the bag to store my crampons to keep them accessible and away from my gear that could be punctured while in route. I own other crampon bags, but this by far is the cheapest and it works the best...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works for some crampons This bag works ok for my Grivel G12 crampons if they are fully collapsed. Even then, there are some bulges, and I have even had a crampon spike penetrate the fabric because it was so tight. There is no way that my rigid Rambos would fit this bag, so had to go elsewhere. It works for smaller folding crampons, or maybe ice screws as others have mentioned.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from You have to tweak it a little to make it work. The bag was too short to put a pair of grivel g-12's. I had to buy a second bag just to store the both of them. I also think that the top should not be mesh. I thought this bag would work better than the other's I have tried. I wish grivel would make a better bag for thier products that way there are no size issues related to mixing brand name items.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Part of my must have collection. I have several of these bags. I like to use them to hold crampons, or ice screws. It keeps all my other gear safe from the evil ice screws on the approach. The orange is extremely visible in low light conditions, so you can always spot it!,,This is a must have if you want to keep all your other gear safe.
