The Chaos Harness by Black Diamond is incredibly supportive and comfortable. Built with a TPU lumbar support, in-molded vents and soft-wicking fabric, the compressionmolded, bullhorn-shaped waistbelt provides breathable support. Using a drop-seat, Y-style design with elastic panels, the wider thermoformed leg loops move with you and distribute weight to maintain circulation. The Chaos is equipped with four traditional gear loops and a 15 kN-rated haul loop.

"This is a very comfortable harness!" 01/06/10
bottom line this thing rocks! It fits me very well, its easily adjustable and extremely comfortable. A few things I like are the gear loops, they stand out just enough to be easy to reach, but fold flatter than plastic formed loops when your are in a crack with you back against a wall. I also like the rear rope hauler, very handy when setting up a top rope station!

First things first, I truly believed that this harness was for use in the bedroom. It is most certainly not, so my initial desires were squashed upon receiving the item and I spent the night alone and cursing Black Diamond and Moosejaw. The next morning I decided that there must be a use for it, so for the rest of the day I wore it around the house while I cleaned and cooked. I changed from pants to shorts to underwear to nothing and found that this harness is really comfy, regardless of what is worn underneath. Further, the cute little loops on the side were useful to hang tongs, spatulas, feather dusters, and much more. The padding is gorgeous and the color really makes me feel free li

I haven't done much climbing since I was a Boy Scout, but I've been doing quite a bit of sailing lately. This spring it was my job to do the abovedecks work, and at 140, the bosun's chair fit me a bit slack, and gets in the way. This harness has very good hardware, reasonably comfortable if you have to hang in it for a few minutes, and most importantly it kept itself and all the gear I took aloft out of the way. Everything has decent abrasion resistance, so it seems like it will last.

I don't know if BD has this quote in mind when naming the Chaos but this Chaos will keep breeding life for you! Additionally, it has all the quality you have come to expect from Black Diamond. The Chaos is very comfortable with more padding than most other harnesses in the lower back area. The adjustable leg loops make it easy and quick to get in and out of it!

This harness is awesome, i wasn't sure about the leg loops at first but they are actually really comfortable. Overall this harness rocks, its supper padded and is great for all day climbs. Oh yeah, it has real size gear loops too that don't fall apart after the first time you use them.

The picture doesn't show the random orange stripes on the sides and big rubber back piece. Make sure you actually see one before buying. Otherwise, very comfortable and light. Big fan of the gear loops.
