"Dependable, Durable, and other words that end in D" 07/23/11

This was the first ATC combo package that I bought when I first started climbing and it has been the one that I recomend to any of my friends and colleauges that want to build their own gear package. I had my doubts about the carabiner at first and thought the lack of beefy structure would wear and tear quickly with use especially working at an indoor facility belaying patron after patron. It has more than lived up to my expectations I would recommend this product to any of my climbing staff and or patrons.

"Great Package" 05/30/11

I own this and the Big Air XP package. Although I prefer the XP package, this one does exactly the same thing for a little less money. Lacks the "xp high-friction" teeth, which seems to make belaying beginners a bit uneasy; still works great!

"High quality for a low price tag" 05/13/11

I purchased this combo as a gift for a friend, and was very happy with the quality of both the ATC and the carabiner. My biggest worry was that the carabiner would be pretty low quality, but I was completely wrong. It feels solid and works well.

"Cheap, perfect for going to the gym and sharing" 12/12/10

The Big Air package was a great first ATC/biner combo pack and I don't regret buying it as a snap decision at all. The carabiner gate opens and closes smoothly, locks firmly, and feels solid throughout. The ATC is lightweight, has a smooth and easy locking feel when belaying or rappelling. Plus, it's pretty cheap. Only a few sessions at the local climbing gyms and this thing has practically paid for itself.

"Puts your package to shame" 11/16/10

This is exactly what every beginner climber needs after your first pair of shoes and harness; a solid ATC and locking carabiner. Now go out and protect someone, trusting in the quality of Black Diamond.

"Bomb proof!" 09/17/10

The biner glides open and closed when unlocked and the lock is easily operated with one hand and a spin of the thumb. Sometimes it gets a little hypocritical to demand gear to be bomb proof and butter smooth at the same time and not be charged an arm and leg but Black Diamond delivered on this one. Inexpensive set, super smooth biner, and a proven ATC. For those that think the only thing lacking from this set is an ATC with a set of teeth, Black Diamond makes the Big Air XP pack that is the exact same set but with a XP model ATC instead.
