"Required Gear" 09/11/10

Super cheap way to prevent your ice axe from shredding all the gear in your bag. No reason to not get one unless you like seeing your gear spread out on the airport conveyor belt.

Cinches down nicely and does a great job of protecting your axes from other objects; or more importantly protects other objects from your axes... such as tents... or down jackets...

"Axe Protector" 05/12/09

Works well, stays on perfectly on my raven pro. It can be tightened down on the ice axe and won't come off or puncture anything in your car or pack!

"Easy to attach and stays on..." 08/28/08

Keeps your duffel (or the airline baggage handler) from getting destroyed. To be honest, some duct tape and a couple of pieces of corrugated cardboard also work fine. This looks a lot cooler though.

This is a must have, and yes it mates well with the Raven series axes. Dont risk stowing your equipment in your closet with an unprotected axe in there. Well worth it.

"Imagine how much it costs to repair a hole in your gear!" 04/30/08

These work very well on my Raven Pro. I trust the fit of these much more than the flimsy rubber protectors. Combine this with a spike guard and you could put your axe with any of your gear without worry. Great product.

"gets the job done." 04/15/08

Excellent system. Holds onto your axe pick and adze through bungee cord, will adjusts to fit snug. The spike protector is actually not included, so you will have to buy separately. You must buy this unless you want holes in everything else that you've packed into your bag.
