Great for on lead and diffent grips dagger and cane.Used on lead and mixed climbing. I have the old cobras so I am not able to climb leashless. Great for mixed climbing, almost as versatile as my buddies vipers unleached. Just takes a second in and out and you have the added security incase you blow both feet. One tip, make sure the clamp is tight and solid on the shaft so the mount does not shift. It needs to be rock solid. I found if you put it in the right spot you can climb traction and still reach the head of the tool for dagger, mantling, and cane without unclipping or allowing the clamp to slide up.

Must have!Really good stuff on long ice routes. Solid and strong, comfortable securing in place, good putting in & out, but not when you are in mitts =) More robust and solid fastening mechanism than the other leashes from petzl & grivel and etc.
