"Light, minimalist." |

| Perfect if you are climbing in cold, high places - where you have layers of padding because this harness is not a comfortable harness. But you will appreciate not dragging around unneccessary weight at altitude, and the easy fit over any clothing. | |

"Great Quality for Low bucks! Simple Design provides all you need for a simple climb." |
08/13/09 |
| The Alpine Bod is probably the cheapest harness in the general market. The simple design will do its job in keeping you safe. The Pros:The Price! Although its cheap, it does its job.The set up is safe and it still has plenty of gear loops. The wide Hip belt gives a bit more comfort and support than skinner belts. The set up forces to you to rope yourself in using the entire belt as an anchor, not just a loop that is sown on the front of the harness. The Cons:There is no padding. This can cause some comfort issues, especially if you are wearing all day.The harness is very flimsy, and therefore lacks the stiffness and support of some pricier harnesses. | |

"Minimalist Alpine Harness" |
07/02/09 |
| This harness has everything that you want for alpine climbing without anything extra. Leg loop clips make for easy entry and exit. Wouldn't want to hang out in it all day, but it's meant for alpine endeavors anyway. | |

"Nice" |

| This is a great harness. It isnt bulky and it can be folded up and stored in virtually no space at all. It is also somewhat comfortable seeing as it doesnt have any padding or anything. | |

"Great mountaineering harness!!" |
04/02/09 |
| Great harness for glacier travel and general mountaineering. Not having a tie in loop makes it super easy to put on and take off without having to step through, which is a plus with crampons on! The clips on the leg loops are great when nature calls. This harness is light and very packable. Overall, I'd say its the best bang for your buck!! | |

"No-belay-loop is a small price to pay for ease in dropping trou." |
10/15/08 |
| Great for with crampons. No belay loop to forget to do the waist belt through. The plastic leg-loop buckles are more convenient than super sturdy, right?, but they shouldn't end up being all that weight bearing. I'm not sure it fits quite right, but the comfort of being able to undo/redo the leg loops instantly totally makes up for that. But then I spend most of a climbing trip sitting around vs being on duty and all. Oh, and everyone's ass looks good in their harnesses. Am I not showing off like I could by staying unclipped? -E PS Someone said you wouldn't be allowed to use a belayloopless harness like this at a rock gym. I dunno. FWIW. | |

"Good value for the money, but kooky design." |
03/13/08 |
| I bought three of these bad boys. One for my wife and one each for my two sons. The cool thing about these harnesses, aside from the relatively low price, is that they fit just about anyone. Easy in and easy out. If I have a dislike, it is that the loop that comes up from between the legs does not mate with the waist belt. Yes, I know you connect the loop to the waist with a rope/biner, but some of the other simplistic harnesses had a space for the loop to pass through the waist belt. I like that. | |

"A must for glacier travel" |
03/12/08 |
| Great for alpine mountaineering. Nothing to step through, a big help when wearing crampons. Light weight and packs small. Would suck for rock climbing if you plan to spend any time resting on the harness. | |
