"Pointless" 12/07/10
Seriously, this thing is retarded. Unless you only see yourself climbing in the gym, then this thing has no place outdoors. The added versatility of two slots and being able to rappel down two lines makes nearly every belay device on the market better than this one. Save you money, get an ATC, ATC XP or Reverso.All that said, it does feed very smoothly.

I use this belay device about 3 to 4 times a week in the gyms. When top roping or for leading in the gyms it is the perfect belay device. No need for a double rope belay device in the gym. Nice and compact and works great.Why buy any other device for the gym.

The sport gets three mooseheads up from me because as a belay device it does, in fact, work quite well. In the end, the sport is lighter and takes up less space, but not enough to outweigh the potential benefit of having an extra XP (rappel functional) around to lend to a buddy, or to person X's significant other who loves accompanying to the crag but not enough to buy their own gear.

Great belay device with super friction which makes it easy to belay someone heavier than yourself. The ribbed side really helps the person belaying put on the break quickly and keep the rope in control when their climber is ready to come back down.
