The VaporLock Locking Carabiner by Black Diamond increases friction up to a 30% when lowering or rappelling. Its increased holding power is ideal when rappelling with a heavy pack or working with smaller diameter ropes and it's Munter hitch compatible on ropes up to 9.4 mm.

It's nice and shinny and it works well to. I've use it for belaying and I had no issues. I'm gonna walk around town with it on my belt loop so people think I'm cool.

Really nice! Light, smooth action, doesn't get snagged on belay loop or power points of anchors. Adds extra control to belaying and rapping.

"I use this to belay your mom" 		          02/20/08
Got one of these for extra friction when belaying, works great if the other person is heavier than you. Screw lock works good and the color looks sweet too, its a little on the small side though.
