"Poor Customer Service / Break Easily"  06/12/10

LEKI spoils customers with great service. BD, not so much ... I caught one in between a coupla rocks, and well, it didn't bounce back. When I contacted BD, I was fed the company line about how it was my fault. The rep. even got a lil' testy with me, as if I were trying to pull a fast one. He tried to sell me a new set of poles, even! On a second call, I finally got someone who wanted to help, but required that I pay for S&H two ways and also the two new sections of pole, needed. The locks and grips rock, but the cust. serv. leaves something to be desired.

"Great for less than smooth terrain. increased stability"  06/01/10

I like to take my 30lb little guy hiking at the Rock Bridge State Park. (He rides in a backpack) There are many trails from which to choose, some are quite uneven and rocky. I love these trekking poles!! They give me so much more stability on the trails. I feel much more secure about taking my munchkin since I have these poles. The handles are very nice to grasp and the flip-lock system is easy to use. Length markings make it easy to rapidly adjust to your own prefered length. Very well designed and manufactured product.

"All you need"  12/18/09

These things work perfect for unstable or fatiguing conditions. The locking mechanism is flawless and adds confidence knowing you didn't buy crap. Poles will flex some but have no fear of breakage. Tips dig right in and are as durable as you want. If you're looking for poles there is no need for fancy poles twice the price. Keep it simple on this one.

"Good stuff"  10/29/09

There are all kinds of trekking poles out there but I can't imagine not using ones that have the flick lock system. If you are in wet or icy conditions getting a good grip (with gloves) on the twist lock type is a pain. The BD locking system is so easy even this caveman can do it.

"Everything you need, nothing you don't"  05/18/09

Why would you want complicated poles? These are simple, light, comfortable, reliable poles. What else would you need.Hey let's face it. Twist locks stink. Enter the Flick-lock by Black Diamond. These babies hold tighter than the nuts on the Brooklyn Bridge. These are very compact, very light, and tough. Plus the are Black Diamond's.

"Flik Lock rocks the Schnitzel!!"  05/18/09

Anyone who even considers buying poles without the flick lock system should be using a cane instead, because all other poles don't compare to this one. For the price these are great. They are comfortable, compact easy and small. They are not the lightest out there but for the money they are light enough.
