"Don't push it" 06/26/10
Supposed to be used in conjunction with other pads or on lower problems. Don't buy this if you're looking for a primary crash pad to take falls higher than 10 feet. I've used it to cover rocks around the site, to make sit starts more reachable and comfortable, and for traversing. Works great for what I've asked of it. Durable and mobile.
"crash that's worth the cash" 11/11/09
Great crash pad that's easy to carry, the price isn't too steep so it's worth it. Small enough to fit into any car and big enough to be better than nothing. It's nice and padded, I've used it for plenty of things besides climbing too. And for some reason, I dont know why, but I just really like the color!
"Good supplementary pad" 08/23/09
This pad is narrower and taller when folded than other similar pads which makes it better for fitting into another pad. I can carry it inside of a 48X36X4 pad with a bag in it by extending one of the straps with a 24" sling. The construction of the pad seems alright but the shell is not as thick feeling as some other pads but it is ripstop nylon whereas some of the other pads seem to not be ripstop but are much thicker. The buckles, straps and handles all are great. The shell closure is a zipper which will be great if the zipper doesn't break and terrible if it does.I haven't taken any sort of big fall onto it yet but the foam feels stiff enough to take probably up to a 15' fall.
