"Exactly what I wanted in this bag!!!"  04/09/09

The Hollowpoint is exactly what it designed to be- a simple crag bag that has enough room for everything that you need, but not too big to require a frame, huge hip belt, etc. I use this bag for the gym and sport climbing trips. I suppose you could fit a rack in there too if somebody else was carrying the rope. It is much bigger than I though it would be. The Bullet is very small, so I was a little nervous about the size of this. I was very happy when I packed it full. The front pocket is perfect for keys, guide book, phone, and other small items. Zippers are super smooth and the top loading one makes it super easy to stuff that extra fleece in it at the last minute. Great bag!!!

"Attractive, durable, everything I was looking for, but not perfect"  12/23/08

Its a great looking bag (I went with dolomite) so you can wear it 'round-town. The organization pockets hidden inside the front-center zippered pocket make it great for running around and jumping in and out of the car during the week. The main compartment is cavernous. The shoulder straps are very comfortable: lightly padded, curved at the shoulder, adjustable chest strap, whistle, hose clip... the usual. The only negative point I had to score this bag down on was the lack of compression straps. The lack of compressibility isn't bugging me so much that i'd return the bag, i like it far too much.

"Stop browsing and buy this bag. . . now."  06/04/08

I spent a lot of time deciding what sort of backpack I needed for a random assortment of my hiking/camping gear specifically like day trips and bike riding and such. And I couldn't have made a better choice. It's smaller than it looks in the picture, but it is just perfect for all sorts of things. I can cram my 2man tent, 32F sleeping bag, stove, 1L bottle, and water purifier in it. It's a bit of a stretch, and slightly ridiculous, but it can be done. It's perfect for long bike rides since it's hydration compatible. The back compartment in fact DOES keep a number of things neatly organized despite what some other reviewers have said. The large compartment is extremely accommodating for

"Down for whatever!"  01/18/08

I bought this pack to use as a bag for my avalanche gear. My shovel and probe fit completely inside the bag and there is ample room for all the other stuff. Emergency blanket, first-aid kit, etc. The front pocket organizer will be nice for when I use the pack for other stuff in the off-season. I was a little disappointed that the front zipper does not give you access to the main compartment, but it's a sleek, compact pack and I really like it.

"Perfect for a day hike"  12/28/07

This pack is a steal. It's waterproof, you can put a bladder in it, has plenty of roof for extra socks or shirts, flashlights, FAK, whatever it is you carry. Oh, and it has a flippin' WHISTLE built into the sternum strap. That alone is worth buying the bag. Well....wait, yeah.

"A very nice mid-range pack"  11/12/07

This pack is just the size I needed for day tripping, to function as a carry on for airline travel or to toss gym clothes in and head to the gym on the motorcycle. It even comes in the traditional Harley-Davidson black and orange. It has smooth lines and doesn't have a lot of stuff on the outside to hang up on things. There is also a compartment, port and clip for a hydration pack and has a zip compartment on the back with pockets that keep small stuff organized and at the ready. There are two loops on the back and although I have not tried it yet, I suppose a person could take a piece of webbing and tie a coiled rope across the back. It works well as a mid-range day pack and fulfills m

"This is the bag I’ve spent years searching for."  10/06/07

The BD Hollowpoint is terrific thanks to its simplicity. This bag is practical and lightweight for going around the city on foot or bike. Its fusiform shape fits my padded digital camera bag like a glove, with packing space to spare. The around-the-waist straps necessary to secure heavier loads are hardly noticeable when not in use. Most packs with such straps tend to use a rigid wrap-around mechanism that make them too bulky for many day-to-day uses, as well as in certain circumstances, such as when one packs his gear into a larger bag to get to his destination. The chest strap buckle has a built-in whistle. It leaves the ears ringing.

"Great for dayhiking and"  09/09/07

I bought this right before a trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, and it worked out perfecty. There's plenty of room in the main compartment for water, food, extra clothes, etc. The front pocket kept all of the small stuff organized. Plus it looks sweet!
