"Nice Harness" 		          01/27/10
I love the way that it fits. I got started climbing on a harness that was not nearly as comfortable. Once I stated climbing with this harness, I didn't want to stop. The leg loops and waist belt fits perfectly. I love the harness

SO, if this fits you well you will have the belay loop and the chalkbag loop centered pretty well on your body. If not, it will be a little crooked. Not a big deal.... but if you are on the high side of the sizing chart it will fit a little weird.

"It's like you're wearing nothing at all" 		          01/07/10
The only harness I've tried on that feels like the waist is independent of the leg loops, rather than one big bulky piece. It's everything you need, nothing you don't. It's the most minimal design made with the most comfortable material. Black Diamond doesn't try to sell you this harness with frills and unique patent pending features. 4 loops, belay loop, and a gear haul loop dead center in the back. Waist is made of cushy breathable stuff with no stitching on the top edge, and even has a bubble shock absorber right where the bottom of the spine goes. The speed adjust buckles work as well as any other, which is great, pull up, pull tight, and you're secure. Long live the Focus.

"Super comfy, speed buckles are great - all aroung great" 		          11/11/09
There's not much to say about this harness, other than it rocks. The padding is super comfy and it doesn't weigh much. The gear loops are a little too far back for my tastes, but I'm a bit picky about that. My one major problem with it is that I can't use it for ice climbing because I can't get it to fit over my layers. That's about the only downside of the speed buckles. Other than that, I love it!

"A great Harness if your only going to climb for a year." 		          09/19/09
My first impression of this harness was wonderful. Its comfortable, quick and easy to get on, the gear loops are nice, and I can go all day with it on. The down side to this harness is that after about a solid year of good use the adjustable leg loop straps are starting to fray and become very worn. The material that is used for the leg loop straps is not the best quality and could be made with a much more durable material. Also some of the stitching is coming undone around random spots on the waist belt. The belay loop after one year looks just like the belay loop on my old harness that I have used for 4 years. Overall I am disappointed in this harness.

"Easy On, Easy Off Very Comfortable." 		          09/16/09
The quick release buckles make this harness easy to get on and easy to get off. In fact, adjustments are easier than any lower level Black Diamond harness that I have tried, even if you don't count the fact that you don't have to double back the straps. But, the fact that you don't have to worry about doubling back the straps once you have it cinched in makes it even that much easier to adjust. Very comfortable harness once cinched in as well.

Very comfortable harness. I have many gear loops that I can use comparing to some other models. I like adjustment buckles on my legs, so I can adjust it as needed. I will buy it again. Nice !!!

I'll admit, I was a little skeptical of the new belt system, especially for rappeling. After the first weekend of countless descents and hours sitting in the cradle, I'm sold. No belt marks on my legs or my back and the belts never shifted a bit.

"Great harness, I still like the original Focus Speed better though..." 		          03/29/08
This a great harness, very comfortable, adjustable, ect. HOWEVER, I bought this to upgrade from my original Focus Speed harness and I have to say that the original Focus Speed definatley takes the cake. The thigh straps on the back are extremely frustrating to adjust compared to the easy and quick straps of the original Focus Speed. I do however like the gear loops on the SA more when I have the ton of weight from my cams on long trad routes. Still a top of the line BD harness!
