"Great daypack" 11/09/08
First let me say this is a small pack...maybe 1/2 the size of a normal adult "rucksack" that kids carry to school...Now, if thats what you want..something light, airy, roomy enough for your basic equipment without slowing you down or being cumbersome....this is a nice rig...Looks darn good too....the fabric is so thin its like silk(but holds up well)...so it weighs next to nothing...very comfortable to wear too....a really nice light daypack!

Hope Black Diamond is listening so this very good pack can be made fantastic. First, another reviewer here claims that there are other packs out there like this. not really, if weight is really important to you. I'm a climbing chick so weight is always key, and this seven ounce wonder with it slim 9 liter capacity feels great on, which means it fits well with narrow shoulder straps that don't get in the way, and you hardly notice you have it on with three liters of water in your camelback. Black Diamond needs to beef up the shoulder straps so they stay tight and add lightweight Camelback-type strap management to keep stray ends from getting in the way. They also need to make the stash pocket
"Good not Great" 01/10/08
This pack is great for day hikes or rides...unfortunately so are many other packs. While the low weight is great, and the exterior pockets are perfect for gels and whatever else you want/need, the pack is flawed. The straps don't stay tight when you run meaning the pack slides around a lot on the trail. The draw string on the back doesn't fit much more than a pair of gloves or jacket you definitely can't fit a bike helmet if you are multitasking/adventure racing. It's upside outweighs it's downfalls if you are looking for a hydration/small day pack, but find something else for racing
