The best all-around harness i've found. Great value, function, weight, durability and comfort. I'm safe, I can do all the types of climbing I want and I didn't spend much to do it. Very pleased!

"Low Price, Comfortable, Convienent"  06/27/10

Have used this harness on a regular basis for 4 solid years. Got it from REI, went back to get a new one since my current one is starting to freak me out every time I'm swinging by a rope high off the ground and I'm wondering "why didn't I buy a new harness before this climb?" but every time I get back on yhe ground I think "well it probably has a couple more climbs in it."So I went back to REI, but they don't carry it anymore (fools!) I tried on a couple newer more expensive harnesses without leg clips and they were not comfortable at all, so I'm getting another BD Bod online from Moosejaw, which btw has already won me over with their clever rhetoric. I'm sold.

"Great Deal"  06/16/10

True to the name this is a good all-around harness. If you're interested in buying one harness that you can use for rock climbing, ice climbing, and mountaineering this is a great buy, especially considering the price. Comfortable to hang from for short periods of time and a breeze to put on with crampons.

Ok so I have gotten other harnesses before they work ok and they are never comfortable but this one is. It doesn't make your leg itch or feel uncomfortable this is a nice one i say you buy it.

I bought this for Adventure Racing. However, have not needed it in a single race. I do think it is not too constrictive, and seems comfortable. I can still pee in it.

"Comfortable"  02/15/10

This is my first harness that I have purchased. I so far have used it for top roping at our local climbing gym and have found it to be great all around. It is very comfortable, not distracting in the least bit while climbing, walking, falling etc... Super easy to put on, and all the extras are great as well.

"Favorite, most comfortable harness I've owned"  12/01/09

This is so comfortable. I've climbed 6 hour multi-pitches with it, and 25 foot sport powerclimbs. It's great, and for the money, you can't beat it!

"For the money you can't beat it!!"  10/05/09

This harness is a very tried and true product from BD. The leg buckles make this harness very easy to get on in the winter months when you mite have on extra layers. My first concern were maybe that the buckles would break and render the harness useless and me in a pickle. The actual safety i dont believe would be compremised if the buckles broke you just mite feel some discomfort. So far the buckles have taken everything i've thrown at them. This is not a very expensive harness but it is a very good harness. There are no bells and whistles just a very reliable easy to use harness.

"Great versatile harness"  05/17/08

Good harness for mountaineering and general rock climbing. Adjustable and detachable leg loops make putting on while wearing crampons easy. Padding is nice, and 4 gear loops is fine.

"Great harness great price"  03/14/08

Was going to get the alpine bod harness but decided I am too much of a wiener to deal with no padding. I love this harness and it has and will serve me well. I will be using it for both mountaineering and climbing and it is great. Enough gear loops and easy release leg straps a huge plus.

"Perfect glacier harness"  02/02/08

Just a heads up, this harness is designed for alpine use, and not extended vertical rock or ice. The common complaint here is that people discover this after purchasing it. When it comes down to alpine glacier use, its a pretty sweet harness, especially when it comes to puting it on and taking it off, no leg balancing act trying to step through different loops risking crampon snag. Pretty comfortable too, even during crevasse rescue or short vertical time.
