Built from 420d nylon, the Boa is equipped with a high-density polyethylene framesheet and padded shoulder straps and waistbelt that make it comfortable for longapproaches. Two molded handles on the front let you carry it as a duffle-perfect for rallying your kit between routes during those quick-hit, after-work sport climbing sessions. One zipper around the lid and one down the center allow hassle-free access to the main compartment. The top lid features a zippered pocket for a guidebook or other essentials, as well as a quick-release strap to secure your coator a rope. A detachable tarp is included to keep your rope and gear clean.

"Perfect pack for sport, near miss for trad" |
12/29/09 |
| This is one of the most well-made packs I have ever owned across any outdoor sport. It holds my 60m, 10.2mm rope, 12 draws, biners, slings, chalk, shoes, harness, and water. It's so comfortable with this amount of gear that I can tackle any approach trail. For trad, sadly, this pack is not quite big enough and isn't comfortable with the extra weight. In order to hold a full trad rack, one must coil the rope and attach it to the outside, which I personally dislike doing. It's rugged, and should last for years. It comes with a rope tarp, and the green color is lovely. BD did a fine job and I definitely recommend this pack, especially for sport. | |

"Ultimate climing pack." |

| They were obviously not messing around when they designed this. One huge compartment for all your climbing junk. and hey! if you need something from the bottom, just zip it down and grab it. Have something little you don't want to get lost or smashed? throw it in the lid. No unnecessary straps or bungees or strange doodads. The End. | |

"awesome bag!!!" |
04/02/09 |
| This pack is not only a great size for all your sport climbing gear... it is also comfortable for that long haul up to your project. I'm a pretty short person and it fits my torso well. The straps are well-padded and there's plenty of external looping clipping things onto the outside. A side pouch or bladder bag for some water would be nice but it's an awesome all-around pack!! | |

"Good for sport and top rope climbing, bad for trad" |
08/13/08 |
| I got this bag to replace my 70 L bag because I wanted something smaller for haling gear to the crag. It is a well designed bag, however it is a bit to small for all my gear so I returned it. It was also uncomfortable with more than 30 lbs in it...This is an ideally sized bag for top roping or sport climbing...It has enough room for these purposes and would be comfortable with the weight that kind of gear would put on the bag, however add 15-20 lbs of trad gear and you would be better off with a nice 40 L day pack. | |

"Solid, clean, hoilds everything." |
02/16/07 |
| This rope bag/pack is very well constructed, and simple. The main compartment opens from either the duffle zippers, or the top zipper... allowing you to stuff and retrieve either way. This compartment is large enough to swallow two twins or half ropes, or a 70 meter lead rope, harness shoes, and waterbottle, with a little room to spare.

The lid attaches by the top zipper making a clean attachment, but does not allow for expansion. Top pocket is roomy enough for a guide book, some food, and other misc stuff.

Surrounding the bad are clips for carrying a rope externally... which is good for cold, alpine, trad climbs. Or when you are the only one carrying a pack to the crag for you | |
