An ultra-compact, supremely damp trekking pole, the triple-sectioned Alpine Carbon Cork by Black Diamond is also our lightest, thanks to its 100% carbon fiber shafts. The natural cork grip, 360-degree Nubuck webbing, dual-density top and foam extension all ensure a sweat-free grip with maximum comfort and control on the up and the down. Double FlickLocks provide fast and easy adjustments, and a Long Flex Tip, with either the low-profile, non-snagging trekking or powder baskets, allows year-round snowshoe and hiking versatility.

"One of the best on the market."  02/28/10

These poles are super light weight and never collapse unexpectedly even when putting all your weight on them. BD has designed the perfect pole for high speed alpine adventures. These poles do not have a suspension for taking in shocks. This, combined with the super light weight design, allows you to move really fast as there are no springs to soak in the energy you put on the groud. Highly recommended for athletic people. They work very well in the snow as well.

"Best Ultra Light Poles on the Market"  11/05/09

This are the best poles for those looking to shave weight in their equipment. The transition for different heights is also simple and quick. To date I have not had a single issue with them collapsing during use.
