"Compare, try to find a bigger better bag I dare you. I'm going to get down with Big Agnes." 02/02/11
I am 6.1" and 255 pounds. I want a bag that doesn't resemble a straight jacket. Big Agnes park series of bags is cut bigger 80 inch shoulder girth. Where it really shines is foot girth at 66" that is the shoulder girth in a mummy bag. When I get into a mummy bag it is the inability to freely move my legs that costs me comfort and sleep. Fit and finish are top notch. I have had it down to 14 degrees on my ExPed downmat 9 in my Big Agnes Copper Spur 3 and I was comfy and cozy. Previously I had a choice to either be warm or sleep now I can do both. Big bag, big value "Big Agnes the mother of comfort".
"BUY THIS BAG!!!" 01/04/11
I am a big guy...6'0/275. I need some room! I got this bag for a recent trip to the Smokies. The other bags I have tried are way yonder too small. This bag is perfect. I got a great night's sleep (except for the guys whose snores sounded like bears). I had plenty of room to move around and was very toasty. I also had the Big Agnes Insulated Air Core which worked great as well! There was about 8 inches of snow on the ground, and we were in a shelter at Russell Field. It was probably about 20 degrees or so. I ended up taking off my thermals and felt great!. This IS the bag to buy if you are big and need some room.
"The bag did its job, but too large for me." 11/03/10
This is a great bag, very roomy, in fact too large for me. I was warned that it might be too large and that was the case. I'm 6', 190. The bag kept only the area in which I was laying warm, the rest of the bag was very cold. I used it for four 20 degree range nights, on a cot. The other guys with conventional bags were a little cold on the bottom side, but the insulated air core pad did a great job and kept me warm. I like the design and features of the bag, the pad system is great, but I didn't produce enough body heat to heat the entire bag. I am returning the bag for a Lost Ranger.
"Buy it!" 07/17/08
I used this bag for a week in the BWCA. As a big guy I loved the roominess of this bag. It you are looking for a mummy bag with plenty of room, this is the bag for you! If you are looking for that tight mummy feel, keep looking.
