The Big Agnes Insulated Air Core Sleeping Pad is an insulated sleeping pad for three season backpacking. The logo side has PrimaLoft Synergy, a synthetic insulation, laminated to it for a warmer sleep. The pad cradles your body, by having a three inch center, with three and a half inch on the outsides. The I-beam construction conforms to your body, while eliminating welded seams for less cold spots throughout the night. The 70D nylon diamond rip-stop on the top and bottom of the pad is durable and lightweight, for taking on the rigors of the outdoors. In case trouble comes along and the pad does leak, a repair kit is included to patch it up in the field. The stuff sack is also included, which will package the pad up for easy stuffing into your backpack, about the size of a coffee can.

Works great with his Big Agnes sleeping bag, Great buy even better customer service. My son received a Big Agnes sleeping bag as a gift for going into Boy Scouts and we (I) decided that we meaning my son would use one of the sleeping pads I already had. To my dismay my existing sleeping pads did not works as well with his sleeping bag as I hoped so after more research we decided to go with the Big Agnes sleeping pad as recommend. What a difference the sleeping pad and bag together makes it does everything it says it will do and my son absolutely loves it. If you are going to buy a Big Agnes sleeping bag system then make sure you go with the Big Agnes sleeping pad you will not be sorry. Two thumbs up.

Leaky after a few uses!Let me start off by saying Big Agnes has outstanding customer service. Unfortunately I had to find out that BA has outstanding customer service because I have now had 2 pads go flat. My first lasted 18-20 nights before it started leaking from pin hole leaks near the seam. I called BA and it was replaced no questions asked. The 2nd pad developed a small pin hole near the seam within 5 nights. I do appreciate BA's outstanding customer service but that does not help keep my Air Core inflated 8 hours a night.

okay but after a few times, it leaks!I like this pad, it's light, packs very small, comfortable and keep me warm during the cold night out. It's not easy to blow air into the pad after a whole day long trip though, so, I highly recommended the pumphouse to save your energy and prevent humidity built up inside the pad.,,,,I have used this for a few trips and it started to leak without any known reasons. I have not used the fix kit, and hopefully, it will "heal the wound" and I can use it again in future trips!,,

This sleeping pad is the best one that I have used yet especially for this cheap of a price.I just recently bought this for backpacking parts of the AT, I was looking for one that i could use in my hammock and let me tell you this is definitely the right sleeping pad to buy. I would recommend this to anyone who is going backpacking, also for anyone who camps using hammocks. This pad does not take very long to blow up and provides a very good cushion. It deflates and packs up into a cinch sack very quickly and easily.

Great all aroundI was skeptical buying this because i have always used roll out pads not inflatable ones, but this was so worth it! It is beyond comfortable and seems very durable. It is also very lightweight and compactible, only take 1-2 min. to inflate.,,,,only downside is It takes a while to fully deflate and fold up

Great for the priceHaving slept on the thermal rest pro lite a couple times, I have to say that this pad is much more comfortable. Although it is larger and a heavier, for me, having that little bit of wiggle room with how much air you put in is a luxury I won't soon give up. Finding it a bit too stiff when fully inflated, I let some of the air out and got the perfect amount of support and cushion. Because the pad is thicker, you can find a happy medium between fully inflated and laying on the floor. Because I'm cheap, I opted not to purchase the longer version of this, and at 5'9, I barely fit on it length-wise. I don't mind a little bit of overhang, but if you're 5'9 plus and want to be completely on the pad, I'd recommend the long. It rolls up to a reasonable size. I use a bladder, so I just shove it in the water bottle holder of my backpack and it fits perfectly. I've taken it on two trips since I've gotten out and slept comfortably through the night on both. Overall great pad. Very comfortable.

Very comfortable but a pain to blow up and coldThis is a very comfortable air mattress, probably the most comfortable I've ever had. I used it in conjunction with the Big Agnes Lost Ranger bag that has a pocket for it to slide into. These bags do not have insulation on the bottom and rely on the pad to keep you warm. However, except for summer camping, I have not been warm using this pad (and I regularly sweat out of my sleeping bags). I have used it for some Sierra backpacking in late May sleeping in the open air and was very cold most nights. The other big drawback is that it is a very thick pad and exhausting to inflate. It does pack down small and the weight is about average. The only other issue I have with these pads is they seem to leak quite easily. This is my second pad, after my first one had a leaky valve. Big Agnes customer service is awesome and I got a new pad, but it too sprung a slow leak for unknown reasons. Field patching is easy, if you can find the leak. Price is good, comfort is great, but I won't buy it again.

Worth the price in one trip!LOVE this sleeping pad. I always had trouble sleeping when I went backpacking with my old pad, so I decided to buy this. Not only did it keep me warm, the support and comfort made for a great night's sleep. This pad made my trip so much more enjoyable. It packs up easily and is so compact.
