Inexpensive, roomy, and warmI am 6'1 240b and purchased the long version. I have always wanted something that would allow me to have a bit more room than a traditional mummy style bag. I tried a few other options such as NEMO, REI, Marmot and they all just were still on the restrictive side. I purchased this 30 degree bag and used it on a two night trip where the first night was down to 40, and i was more than fine then on the second night it hit 28 degrees at one point and i was still fine without any special layers. Of coarse there was little wind and inside the tent it probably was a few degrees warmer but still i was very happy with the comfort this bag provided. I would probably purchase a separate true winter bag for any serious winter camping but this bag would seem to get one through a wide range of Temps. Also i must comment on the sleep sytems which i was a bit skeptical about however i must say works pretty good. i only wish i could use a 25inch wide pad with this in the sleep system instead of the 20inch wide. but thats just a minor issue that is more of a pad comfort thing than the bag itself. There are alot of options for sleeping bags from a ton of manufacures and most of them probably do a fine job. lets be honest a good sleeping bag from 20 years ago is probably a good sleeping bag still today. but if your in the market for a slightly larger bag with synthetic insulation (which by the way is from recycled material) then i would highly recommend this 30 degree model (or really any other big agnes bag with this design) You can purchase the down version of this bag as well if you want to save some weight and have more compressibility but this gun creek bag is pretty nice for the price which i got if for $128 and that allows me to spend some money on other items.
