The Big Agnes Flying Diamond - 8 Person Tent is an eight person tent for base camp or car camping, throughout four seasons. The Flying Diamond is a free-standing tent for housing the whole brood while enjoying the outdoors. The combination of fabric sleeves and clips connect the tent body to the poles, with color coded webbing and pole ends for a fast set up that even the kids can help with. In all likelihood they will probably run off into the woods as soon as you arrive leaving the parents to be responsible. Typical. When the kiddos return to camp at dusk, the reflective guyline will lead them to their home away from home, and doors on opposite ends make for easy entry. The partition wall on the inside separates the smaller room from the bigger one, just in case someone needs a time out. The mesh panels throughout the tent provide air flow. When the rain threatening, throw the 1500mm waterproof polyurethane coated fly over top, which also makes a large vestibule off the larger half of the tent, a handy place to store dirty, wet shoes. The large room has a height of 72 inches, while the smaller features 54 inches, plenty of space for card games on wet days.

Great family tent.Starting a family meant I took off my backpack and conceded to car camping for a couple of years. However this didnt mean I had to get stuck with a tent that took 45 min to set up or leaked every time it rained. This tent survived my twin 2 year old boys for a three weeks trip from Michigan to Oregon. 3000 miles meant I had to break and set up camp often. This tent was simple and took 10 min max. Plenty of room was good to hide from the bugs or the rain. The tent preformed better than expected in storms and kept us warm on the cool nights, even without the rain fly. Came in an easy storage bag. All in all very satisfied

Teton, Yellowstone & Glacier w/wife & triplet boys - it was perfectTent is incredible - easy to set up (<10 min w/fly), plenty of room for us (me, wife & 7-yr old triplet boys) & a friend, not a drop inside after some big afternoon thunderstorms at Jenny Lake and Jackson Hole, and no condensation issues (make sure you prop open the vents on the fly). It was a little big for the tent spots at Norris (Yellowstone), but we just hung the vestibule over the edge and it worked fine. We carried it in a TNF base camp duffle (XL), and still had room for sleeping pads. My wife and I can't wait for the weather to cool off so we can use it again.

Great Tent - Need Two People To Set UpI bought this for my brother who goes camping A LOT and this is what he had to say about it after using it a few times.,,,,I go camping all the time with my Boy Scout troop. Overall, it's a great tent. I've been camping with it in several different places like Russell Woods, Indiana Dunes, and northern Wisconsin. Some advice: Do not sleep by yourself in it if you're cold weather camping. Compared to other tents, it is fairly easy to set up, although you do need at least two people. As for packing away, it fits right in the bag. With other tents, I've had much difficulty putting it away, but I love how easy it is to fold up and put away. Another great thing about it is the air flow through it. If you're camping in the summer, you get some nice breeze flowing through it versus just baking inside. You won't regret it.

Great tent!We purchased this tent as we need something a little larger us and our 2 boys (4,7). Definitely has a lot of room & we are extremely satisfied with our purchase. The one thing I'd change is the windows. Rain covere provides complete privacy, but in Florida, it's a little warm to keep it on all the time. When it is removed, there is really no completely private area to change. On the good side, though, there is a lot of air flow and makes for a great night's sleep.
