Awesome ultralight luxury for two!Seems to be pretty typical that you need to -1 on big agnes ratings. i can understand "cozy for two" on a two man tent, but I don't roll that way with three :) That said, I knew that going in and bought this tent for just my partner and I. It is quite copacious for two, easily fitting our gear inside. As an added bonus the three man is an extra 4" higher in the ridgeline, improving liveability. Ventilation is great, any condensation sticks nicely to the fly and not in the tent. I think the weight penalty is well worth it if most of your tripping is not solo. Definately get the footprint as well - the floor is the same light silnylon as the tent body and benefits from extra protection.

Great size for 2ppl.If you want a roomy tent for two people, this is the one. I would imagine it would be pretty tight with three people. I bought this for motorcycle traveling and backpacking, and I'm very happy with it. It's super light, packs up tiny, and is a cinch for just one person to set up. The fabric is thin and kind of translucent, but it seems like it's pretty durable. I notice that the fabric flap covering the rain fly zipper is easy to accidentially get caught in the zipper, but now that I know this, I am just more careful with it.

Excellent lightweight tent for TWO peopleExcellent 2 man tent, unless you are bringing two midgets with you I don't know how in the hell a third person would fit (in there defense they are just following industry standard for sizing the tent). In reality I'm 6'1" and had about 5 extra inches which is nowhere near 90" (73+5=78 not 90) so I think it would be good up to about 6'6", any taller and you are still not going to fit. Two thermarest's fit side by side with some room for a few little extras. I still can't believe how light this thing was to carry.

Best Backpacking TentThis tent sets up in record time with complete ease. Spent two weeks camping in Yellowstone National Park with my boyfriend. There was no issues with condensation, especially if you use the guy lines and the door design was generally not an issue for us. I would however recommend that you be careful to always fold the doors into the tent body upon exiting and entering because the mesh can be damaged easily if accidentally stepped on over rocky ground.

Tea for 2- 3 on top of each other! We got this to fit 2 moderately sized adults + a big assed gentle giant OEM dog. ,,Aint not happinin.,,We would never fit and have any room to move.,,This is a fantastic 2 person lightweight tent (despite its 3 person rating.) We needed to accommodate 1 more, so we upped to the UL-4 and L O V E it. ,,Weight to size ratio is exceptional, sets up easily, quality construction. ,,Dig it for 2 adults.,,Or 4 6 year olds.,,Or 85 tea cup poodles.,,,,,,,,

the tent of my dreamsThis tent is amazing! for 2 people there is so much room for three it would be a little tight but not too bad. it packs down super small and is so light it is unbelievable. the mesh top is great for looking into the night sky and breaths great. set up is easy takes only a minute or two and is so easy you could do it blindfolded.

Thin Light ExpensiveThe fabric is very thin and will abrade easily, but the ripstop prevents spreading of tears (BA will double patch for a small fee if you mail it to them). The poles are amazingly strong-tested :).Tent is not nearly big enough for 3,but fits 2 perfectly if you are under 6'3" or so.Can fit two 25" wide pads side by side(barely).I'm 5'10" and have plenty of head/foot room (about 5" free at each end with long pad & bag).Pole is essentially 1 large interconnected shock-corded pole.Use a heavy duty footprint if camping on anything remotely rough (Tyvek recommended).Factory waterproofing is excellent(taped seams, etc)-no leaks so far.Condensation in cold (30 degF night) was minimal -it went through the mesh, onto the inside of the fly, condensed, ran down & dripped outside the tent, where it belongs.Hardly no moisture on bags in the morning.Use screw type stakes if leaving empty & unattended-it will pull out stakes & fly away in 15mph wind. This is one of the lightest, freestanding tents available!

It's Made for the Job!Our goal this past year: lighten our overall pack weights. Did lots of research; here's our input on the UL3. 1.Thin material, but strong. Treat it nicely (we usually do with all our equipment) and it should hold up fine. 2.Condensation issues -stake out the rainfly. We tried it one night with just the sides of the fly staked and the next night adding staking for the vestibule area and back of the tent. A very noticeable difference. Even with minimal staking, nothing got overly wet inside. BTW we were in a high humidity environment. 3.Yes it does sleep three, IF you're not huge people and are ok with being close. We're 5'8",5'8", and 5'3" average build and family members plus our 14 lb. dog. This tent replaces our previous 3 person tent. We actually had as much or more floor space as before BUT 3+ lbs savings -pretty cool! Floor width seemed to be made for our Neo-Airs. Made a footprint out of Tyvek -strong, lightweight, and inexpensive. Looking forward many happy nights on the trail!
