"Comfortable, durable sleeping pad that's well worth every penny"
I (6'3", 195) purchased the Big Agnes Dual Core Mummy last year to pair with my Bellyache Mountain bag, and have been pleasantly surprised at the level of comfort offered with such a light, packable pad. Though it's not self-inflating (which I've become accustomed to), it took only a minute or so to fully-inflate. I've slept on open ground with this pad on multiple occasions and haven't had any issues with leaks or even abrasions. For a serious hiker that's also serious about being comfortable on the trail, this could be the one for you.
I bought this pad to use in conjunction with my Big Agnes bag. While it's not self inflating, I didn't think it took all that much air to get it filled up. My wife says it's because I'm full of hot air...but I think she's just saying that because she's jealous of Big Agnes! Anyway... this pad is very warm and packs up nice and small. It is a great pad at a great price!
When broken down on a dry, warm, hard floor in my house, it's relatively easy to go from fully inflated to stuff sack. When broken down on a wet, soft, cold tent floor it's a little more challenging. It's not self inflating, but it takes constant effort to keep the air forced out as it's being rolled. Don't have a similar pad to compare it to and I'm guessing this is typical. It's very warm. Bought this for snow camping and have no regrets. We'll see how durable it is, but it does come with a patch kit. Blowing it up takes a full 2-3 minutes but was fairly easy even at the end of a long day.
"Must have if looking for a sleeping pad"
Because I have heard nothing but conflicted reviews of thermarest pads I decided to go with something different. Thank God for that decision. This Big Agnes weighs just a couple of ounces more than a Thermarest Prolite 3, and provides about 3 times more cushion. This pad is AWESOME! No matter how hard I tried, I could not get my body to touch the ground through the pad. Forget thermarest..no comparison! Big AGNES! Recycled materials are used as well. Love it!

"Solid upgrade in comfort to a Thermarest at a similar weight"
I am 6'8" and 230 lbs so I bought the mummy style 20" x 78". It arrived in a loose fiting stuff sack with repair kit and took 18 breaths and 2 minutes to inflate. It weighs 2lbs with sack, repair kit, and tags attached. The material feels stronger and more durable than my thermarest performance series guidelite pad (which weighs 2lbs 2oz without repair kit and tags). Fits well inside a mummy style bivy sack and will fit in a thermarest camp chair. No problems with loss of air (30 hours so far). Seems like it would be as warm as a thermarest but I can't confirm the 0 degree rating. Big Agnes should add some micro grip dots and it would be perfect.
"Kept me warm with 3' of snow outside tent, Very comfortable"
First chance I got to use my Big Agnes was in the mountains of Colo. We got hit with a snow storm just as we were setting up camp. Over 3' of snow before all said and done. Had some trouble getting the valve to shut properly but after a couple of tries it worked fine. Held air for three days and kept me toasty and off the snow under the tent. Very comfortable. will try again in less severe conditions to see if I have any further problems with valve. Other than the valve I love it!!!
