Easy to setup, no leaks and spaciousEasy to setup alone. The instructions are very easy to follow. The pockets that line the inside of the tent are excellent. Can easily fit 8 people sitting and 6 sleeping. The rainfly is very easy to setup and is color coded so you don't get it backwards. The rain fly does not cover 100% of the tent. The front and back door of the tent only have a large overhang that comes out from the rain fly. The front and back doors have inside panels that zip up to keep water out. We did not have any water in the tent during a 10 hour rain storm. I strongly encourage staking out the rain fly with the guide lines to make sure no water can pool up on top of the tent.

This Tent Rocks!I bought this tent after tons of research. I have two small kids and a dog and there is a possibility of the family expanding in subsequent years and I don't want to be buying a new tent if we have another kid. I put this tent up by myself 3 times and it takes about 10-15 minutes after you get the hang of it. We just used it in Maine in the 'real world' and we love it. It is so spacious. We fit two adults a toddler and an infant in a play yard and there was till tons of room left over. We also got rain and the inside of the tent was bone dry. We didn't buy the vestibule and I didn't miss it. I highly recommend this tent!

Great Family TentFamily of 4. Bought 2 yrs ago, used 8xs - 3 days trips. EASY UP: Simple, can put up alone in 10 mins. QUALITY: Great ventilation, stays warm, dry. No problems w/ leaking, rips, stuck zippers, sagging. ROOMY: Can stand inside. Fit queen & twin aerobeds & still room for gear. EXTRAS: Vestibule -highly recommend, made it private potty space for kids. Fit picnic table under during storm & had dry lunch. Storage bag, separate pockets, handles & compression clips, easy to store & carry. CLEAN: Washed in large washer & let air dry. No mold, mildew. BAD: Stakes not sturdy. Pricey but will use for years & will last. ENVY: Campers will stare. Friends may copy. Smile & wave.

AWESOME TENT!Spent 12 days camping in the mountains of Tennessee in this HUGE tent. This tent went through VERY heavy winds and torrential rain storms. This tent held up to everything mother nature gave it, & it was a huge storm that blew in. NO leaks, NO worries. Small limbs even fell on the tent, the winds were extreme. Next morning I looked outside and there were tents collapsed and camping equipment scattered over the area. Best tent I ever owned. I am 6'4" 215 lbs and I can stand up in this tent, which I love. My fiance said that the skylight was nice & romantic, Yes I would have to agree with her. The Big Agnes Big House 6 also is easy to get in & out of. AWESOME TENT!!

Sets up fast, packs fairly light, stayed totally dry.I used this tent on a recent kayak adventure to the apostle Islands. I have three other tents to choose from and I went with Agnes because I wanted to be comfortable if it rained continually as forecast. To pack a narrow boat with gear, food etc on an extended voyage requires meticulous use of space with only three small compartments. I even brought the vestibule. Well...it rained everyday as expected only letting up for 3-4 hours during the day. Some of the rain came in downpours and the wind never let up with 30-40 mile an hour winds. Agnes kept me warm and dry the entire time and didn't show any signs of issues with the wind (many strategic tie downs when necessary).

Backpacking or Family Camping Tent?I own several 6-8 person tents. It is hard to know what to use this tent for: Backpacking (family) or Family Camping. It doesn't have an attached vestibule (you can buy an add-on), which is negative in my books when trying to store gear or when you have bad weather when backpacking. The simple set-up & design is awesome for my family camping experiences. But everything is so lightweight (zippers, material, poles) that I can't see it lasting my boys hard impact on things. So in the end, it's a great tent that tries to hit both the backpacking & family camping markets. I didn't think it hit either one well.

Lived in it for 4 monthsI lived in this tent in a tropical rainforest for 4 months while doing surveys. It's very spacious, pretty durable, and unbelievably cheery. There is a wonderful sun/moon roof in the rainfly that is clear so you can look out the roof and stare at the stars/trees/rain. The screens and the zippers are bomb proof and there is a ton of handy storage. A couple of spots in the floor started to wear a bit, but never leaked (seriously, this is pretty good considering I lived in it). Bottom line: A cheery tent that won't let you down. The only two problems are that the little door mat is useless (I tucked it under the tent), and there isn't a full coverage rainfly (which drove me a little crazy).

Home away from homeThis is our second Big Agnes tent. We have the Copper Spur UL2 for backpacking and love it, so we decided to treat ourselves to a Big House for car camping and festivals. So much room it feels like a palace. I am 5'7" and can walk around in the tent. We bought the vestibule which is great for storing gear or playing cards while waiting out a rainstorm. We have been through a couple of storms in this tent and everything stayed dry and we stayed cozy. Side pockets are great for keeping things organized. The setup is so easy and fast, you'll be the envy of other campers. The color also keeps the interior bright and cheery, even on rainy mornings. Big Agnes tents are well worth the investment!
