"Great family or car camping tent!"  11/30/11

I have used this tent for mulitple car camping "excursions".. and a kayak trip, and its pretty awesome. The best use for this tent I have found is camping next to your car, as it comes in a fairly large bag. It is however made with some of the best materials I have seen in a tent so far. It fits my lady, dog and me very nicely. The rainfly goes all the way to the ground, so even in cold weather you stay cozy. It also has nice aluminum tent poles that look like they will last more than a few seasons. All in all this tent is great!

"Daughter Doesn't Want to Sleep in the House Anymore..Only in the Big House!"  07/20/11

The Big House is money and thanks to it my daughter can't get enough sleeping outside. Had to ramp up my tent size to now include my two young daughters and this was one of the tent's at the top of my list. Where do I start? Colors automatically put you in a good mood, it's well ventilated, the fly does the job while still keeping it breathable and the welcome mat - it's outstanding for getting the kids in and out. Pick up the footprint with it - not only does this reduce my anxiety of ripping the floor or drawing water in, but it rocks as a fast fly - something even Big Agnes downplays. Gonna pick up the vestibule next year and I think I can say with confidence I have a "vacation house"!

"This tent is huge and awesome. My dogs love it."  03/29/11

We ordered the tent about a week ago and it finally came in the mail and we set it up in our living room for first time practice. HUGE!! I had to move the couches and coffee table to get it up! there was so much room and it seems to be constructed very well. Easy to set up with two people, even in my living room. the rain fly went on easy, window in the front, and looks like it will cover everything well. If you want a family tent this is a good one to consider.

"The perfect car camping tent"  11/20/10

This is our (my wife and I) first test. I am 6'0" and my wife is 5'8" and we can both stand up in this tent without our heads touching the top. This is really nice when you wake up, it's raining, and you need to get dressed. This tent is unbelievably easy to pitch. It's our first tent and we had no issues, no moments of confusion, and no hassle. I also love that it feels sturdy once it's pitched. I see too many tents that look great online but, in real life, they look like they are sagging from every support anchor. It also comes with a bag to store the tent, poles, and rain fly. Recently, my wife and I camped with 34 degree evenings and we were still warm in this tent.

"This tent is all around a great choice."  04/13/10

We purchased this tent from another company and now I see its on sale at a better price than we paid. DAMN. I missed those moosejaw points. Well life goes on! OK, so here is my review on this tent. We went camping with it last weekend and it performed great. We as a family of 4 (3 girls and me) put this to the test, and believe me my 4 and 6 year old are just little apples without the stem, so they can hang with the best of them. But anyway we used the vestibule and the ground cloth and all was great, speaking of the vestibule, you can almost park your car in it. it is the best part of the tent a far as im concerned.

"My new BFF..."  04/09/10

I'm a casual camper here in Montana. I haven't tent camped in several years and am just getting back in to it with pressure from my kid... I did alot of research on tents and wanted something to stand up to the harch climate and wind of Montana and endedup going with the Big Agnes. This tent is a simple one-man operation to set up. I like the rain cover as you can roll up the sides and still have access to the screens. My biggest concern was tearing down and getting this thing folded back up and into its brief-case style carring case. I must say that that entire operation was quick and simple and the tent fitsright back into its case without any effort... Good stuff...

"Great Tent--easy to set up---roomy"  03/20/09

This is the kids tent and so far it's holding up and has worked perfect with our camping lifestyle. The double doors are a huge plus, can't say enogh about the roominess. We love the Bighouse.

"I trust this tent."  08/11/08

The wife and I took our new Bighouse 4 tent up in the Montana hills around 7500' to test ride our new Big Agnes. Setting up was a breeze and with the attached vestibule we were impressed with the all the room we had to spread out. The quality of the tent was well noted with lots of mesh storage space to hold all our junk gear. About dusk the wind picked up and began to lightning all around us. Right at dark all hell broke loose with driving rain and wind gusts up to fifty miles per hour. The wife soon gave me the look of 'let's get the hell out of her' but we stayed inside and rode the storm out. We did have the sense to get all the guys strung out and set before the storm hit. At one point

"Excellent value when pack weight/size are not paramount. Sturdy, roomy, and easy to pitch."  06/24/08

What can I say? Love this tent. My family of four, plus two 100+ lb dogs have plenty of room in this tent. I'm 5'9, and can stand up straight in the Big House 4. Lots of storage areas keep things organized, and pitching is a breeze. In fact, it's now my 11 year old daughters job to pitch the tent, and it takes less than 5 minutes. With the fly on, it rolls up and secures more than half way up, exposing the mesh sidewalls and offering tons of ventilation when the skies are clear. When the weather moves in, the fly can be reconfigured to full-coverage in less than a minute. The optional vestibule is invaluable, as it offers nearly as much square footage as the tent itself.
