High-level results and a record number of falls for its diameter, the Topgun by Beal is one of the most impressive ropes on the market. The figures speak for themselves: 11 falls, 68 g/m, 7,4 kN impact force.

Reassuring diameter, advised for beginners, for heavy climbers (Better grip to hold on its greater diameter), and for those looking for a rope with astonishing perfomance.

"Rock solid reliable"  11/23/11

This rope is slightly more bulky than the 10.1-10.2 ropes I've used, and I would certainly say the hand is noticeably stiffer. That said, it still clips easily, and I have never felt like it was weighing me down.Never having bought a Beal rope before, the stats were hard to ignore. The impact force and number of falls is incredible compared to similar sized ropes. Plus, the mass is relatively low, I think only 1g/m more than my Sterling Evolution Kosmos 10.2.I haven't used it for long enough to comment on sheath abrasion or the like, but to-date it hasn't shown virtually ANY signs of wear, even after using it to top rope buddies on routes with slight amounts of drag on rock.
