The Beal Tiger 10mm Dry Cover Rope is a sport climbing rope for those looking to begin moving into smaller diameters. At 10mm, the Tiger is prepped and ready for mostly for sport climbing, handles most belay devices, and isn't afraid to dabble in other adventures with a higher level or even mixed climbing. Thanks to the Dry Cover treatment, the sheath is more resistant to abrasion, dust, and moisture. Hello, Mother Nature, try busting up this climbing extravaganza weekend.

Light and handles great!I bough this last month. It is my first rope so I went in with only info from online and from other people. I was told Beal makes great ropes, it was on sale and seemed like a good rope. Its first use was in doors on a lead wall. I took a couple bigger falls just to test it out and it gave a nice soft catch. I took it outdoors for a weekend at the RRG and it was awesome. Feels super smooth in both an ATC and grigri and clips reallt well. I do not have a lot of experience with other ropes but given it slight weight and handling I think it handles like a smaller diameter rope, I have read that Beal ropes tend to do this. We probably used it on 5 or so routes with 4 people using it each route. When I coiled it up at the end of the trip it still looked new, no obvious fraying. There were some kinks at the end of the trip, but this could be due to how we were handling it during the weekend. It might just need a good flaking or two.

Does this rope has Beal UNICORE technology?
Asked by: rf91
Thanks for reaching out to Moosejaw! Yes! This Beal Tiger Dry Cover rope 10mm has the Unicore construction that eliminates sheath slippage in wet conditions or when the sheath is accidentally severed.
