Only freez dried seafood chowder had me running the other way faster!!!I tried some of this a few months ago. I had my wonderments as to how anything could be "wild west" and meat-free at the same time. Guess what? IT CAN'T!!!! This is some of the grainyest(my word), garlic saltiest, mealyest bean stuff ever dreamed up. Good lord! i am glad I got it on sale; but sad that I had to have it twice in order to eat during my trip. My dawg didn't seem to mind it too much; but what it did to his bowels definitely put up a safe perimeter fence around my camp!,, If you are thinking of trying this; or maybe you just have a taste for proving things to yourself; use caution to the utmost extreme caution

rough eatsnow we all know that freeze dried foods are packed with salt and that just goes with the territory but they usually blend the flavors around such a high salt content that you may not even notice it or you notice it but its tasty enough that it doesn't matter. but i dont know what went wrong with this chili but it was torture to try and consume so much salt. ended up not eating it and using my back up cup o noodles for the night
